  1. As you will see in the track I TUC my TGT designation on the SA, PLID appears and I select it. The subsequent ID options are not selecting and the only way to exit the PLID options is to do something else on the display. I should be able to ID my own target point so myself and others on the net can see when a target has been sorted and identified. This does somewhat work with AI donor designations in SP only, but the player can't yet assign it themselves. PLID.trk
  2. Just as Swift said. Also, If you think it would be cool if the Hornet radar could do XYZ, it probably can... There is so much crap that we don't have yet it's unbelievable. And i've seen some documentation where NCTR prints to the attk.
  3. Correct. IRL it would just be a depress on a donor track to target it. Many other ways too. In DCS just creat an OS wypt with bulls as the OAP.
  4. Intended, only the display that is TDC priority will have the TDC cursor.
  5. In that case the Hornet is the best for what he wants to do. Best A/G platform overall (note I didn't say CAS)and you have a ton of Situational Awareness to where you can easily steer away from threats. Worst thing you could do for him is force him into the Viper...
  6. Your radar isn't actually seeing anything. This is most likely due to the elevation scan not being within parameters to detect a target. What you see is L16 information overlayed on the attack format and can not be targeted. (Yet feature we should have) what you end up doing with the TDC depress in essentially exmpty space is temporarily command the radar to do a few sweeps there, then return to previous settings if nothing is found. (This logic is again incorrect, but that's the way it works for now) Take a look at Wag's radar videos
  7. Not possible yet. Would just be TDC depress over the mark but ED hasn't found that line in a manual yet. Most accurate way is to input the coordinates that your buddy generates from the FLIR. Otherwise, you could try slewing sensors until your designations on the SA match up. Best way to do that is find his mark with you HMD, designate near it, then use your own pod or radar to fine-tune the targeting.
  8. What altitude, aspect, airspeed, closure rate, pitch? Etc. All of that together determines missile range. The Aircraft calculates it, but there are very few hard numbers.
  9. It would be fine if ED fixed the slew rate... That and AUTO should be be selected when a AMRAAM is launched. I just don't worry about most of the time and just work the radar. Pretty simple when using the AZ/EL as one press will adjust azimuth and elevation.
  10. Use the TDC to select the option...
  11. Just as the title says, with a target point designated the IMAV seeker will not slew. This makes following the AGM-65F employment procedures in A1-F18AC-TAC-300 impossible. In the track you can also see another issue as the HUD designation is not being made from the point of the VV. MAVF.trk
  12. Should be able to select the stations via QTY. If dual racks, this will be one per station. So max simultaneous release of 4 GBU-38s. For PP, use JUST PP1 for each bomb. Unlike TOO you aren't programming for the rack as a whole. That way each bomb has it's own target. The point of PP1-6 is that you would have multiple targets that you could flex to as alternatives for whatever reason. Remember, IRL the pilot just needs to load the data from MUMI...
  13. It's not necessarily bugged, but as far as I can tell it is incorrect. With a TGT designation and maverick uncaged, the cross should be slewable via TDC action slew. I will work on a bug report and PM you.
  14. That's the point, you still need to undesignate but the mav LOS should still be stabilized until slewed. This is the "correct" DCS logic...
  15. Depress and right for manual IFF interrogation. Rest of the functions aren't implimented yet.
  16. Yep, the undesignate switch.
  17. Now, if you undesignate with TDC to the Maverick it will not return to boresight and you can now slew it.
  18. Does anyone know *how* the MGRS is input? I presume similar to the Hornet, don't see much else you could do.
  19. When using TDC depress to update a TGT on the A/G radar, the TGT X is not over the designated point, yet every other sensor is accurate. This makes seeing what is targeted on the A/G radar in MAP impossible. AGR_TGT.trk

  20. Right, but the other aircraft feature significant MGRS support, 16 definitely doesn't.
  21. Is it a capability of this model? Seeing as you can only have MGRS for 4 steer points makes me doubt it.
  22. Yes, the Hornet does more with less G. This comes down to significant design differences in the aircraft. Such as having a larger wing. F-16 needs to be faster to provide the same amount of lift, and therefore needs to pull more Gs. There's some other things like the efficiency of the V-stabs and whatnot. Dual canted V-stabs would add a component of lift vs a the single vertical one.
  23. On the deck, your are picking up jamming targets which of course only requires the reciever for the radar. Only transmission is inhibited on the deck.
