  1. Well KY58 yes, but what OP was actually referring to was the Hornet's MIDS radios which the 16 doesn't have, just called it the KY58. Afaik the ED products lack a functional KY58 system, however the encryption is modeled on the Tomcat. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. Nope, cheap air force jet gets 1 UHF and 1 VHF. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. Yes, that is true at 64km, however I believe the OP stated 800km. With the Kàrmàn line at 100km I believe there would be no atmosphere up there. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. I believe the only real issue with it is the refresh rate of the TD box on the HUD. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. No, you are seeing the sunlight reflected off of the starlink constellation. There is a reason they are only visible at certain times. And again, there is no atmosphere up there. You are actually insane. I hope you get some help. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. That is correct. No Paveway II LGB has a data interface with the aircraft. It is set on the bomb itself by the ground crew. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  7. Could you elaborate on the built in HTS in regards to the Hornet with AGM-88C? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. Btw 800,000 meters at mach 4 is impossible. Why? Well because there is no air at 800,000 meters as it is literally space. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. If you haven't figured it out, you need to select aft antenna when turning away from the target/missile. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. I can't bring my self to have that tumor of a targeting pod on my sleek jet [emoji6] I just like the aesthetic + superior stabilization and tracking modes. The zoom plus FOV on one control is also pretty nice. I'm getting used to it before they add the Image degradation to the Litening. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I for one have strictly used the ATFLIR since 2.7 haven't seen the change. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Hold on, quick clarification, are you talking about the LITENING or ATFLIR? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. What diamond are you talking about? You can see the TGT point on your HUD, HMD, and HSI/SA. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. You will always see a diamond at you target point no matter how it's designated. You will not see one in the pod display however. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. What if I told you it's not fast enough? @ 19:12 Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  16. The azimuth isn't highlighted here, yet it is a TDC select option in the DCS jet. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  17. Well the Lightening has more incriments of zoom. Technically the ATFLIR only has 2x zoom. So you can zoom to the 2x then use the FOV switch to control the rest. You could also try a custom curve. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. Hornet's nuclear consent switch is on the side wall in the aft left side of the cockpit. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  19. We are going to need more information. What pod, what master mode, did you have a TGT point previously etc. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. I've used it the most in GS PvP, down on the deck looking up so that's more of a best case scenario. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. Yet I could consistently get locks at 35 miles Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. He is referring to the throttle off to idle command. Not sure of it's exact title. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  23. The fact that you have a DIRECT weapon selector really makes all the difference. Guns, AMRAAMs, sidewinders and Sparrows are all one press away. The Hornet ACM modes are the best. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah you're at 1800 feet. That would be the problem. Also, is the ship moving? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  25. With SCS forward long the boresight reaches out to 40nm. Really helpful when used with JHMCS. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
