Me too. Extremely complex aircraft with full Fly-By-Wire concept and very advanced weaponry and sensors. I'd do joint-venture with VRS team if I were in CoreTex Designs to have access to VRS library and knowledge base and VRS devs used as consultants. All this even if means giving customer higher price for this addon. Without that R&D may take years to reach their complexity, or product maybe rushed and not as complex as VRS. I will follow this development very closely! CoreTex, Good luck!

VRS F/A-18E, I shall thank you for preparing me for serious digital combat :P

This is very correct answer for this thread and pretty much answers relation of wind causing airplane to stall. Crosswind is actually critical on apprach, life and death for General Aviation especially. Most stalls that ended up in tragedy happened during last moments in final approach or turn for finals caused by pilot used to fly certain speeds (and weights) and not increasing his airspeed enough to deal with lift problems caused by cross-wind scenario. Cross-wind can cause you too stall by reducing lift (even worse since it is asymmetric) on your little wings by disrupting and blowing off linear airflow too on normal approach speeds (typical for GA). You must add enough indicated airspeed speed during all phases of landing if you have cross-wind even on large planes. And remember, landing with significant cross wind use smaller degree of flaps! Edit: We had quite a lot GA disasters recently in Poland, not increasing IAS in crosswind scenario during landing phases is quite common pilots' error.

Typical attitude of my fellow country man used to observe tenders for infrastructure projects in Poland ;) SUB17, I know you are very active VRS and XSI forum member. I read your posts almost daily for years. Please reach Buckshot and make him at least to come here and make a market research how their T-38 addon would sell. Regarding IFF, I do not care whether T-38 or any other DCS fighter will have more detailed IFF then what I am used from FC2. I do believe DCS can be expended in future with a 3rd party library module that will simulate scripted IFF to more interesting and playable degree then we have now in FC2. Proof that impossible is possible is VRS and what they have done so far with their own external code that interfaces with FSX. PS. Talon was the only aircraft I took in a flightsim round the world!

Who cares, we have DCS that outperforms everything. Let me say it again but correct - DCS PWNS EVERYSIM! Nevada is getting ready. Several new flyables in fast development, including trainer jet. I have truly forgotten about FighterOps until ended up checking this thread. I am saddened with news of their lead programmer abandoning project. Best course for rest of the team is to leave engine code on the shelf, quit reinventing the wheel. Instead jump on new platform. I mean jump on DCS WORLD band-wagon of course. This way FighterOps may save their current assets by developing their T-38 as trainer jet addon. FIGHTEROPS T-38 TALON I'd be happy to see such subforum in 3rd Party Projects forum here :) Buckshot if you are reading this, don't let T-38 be forgotten again, change your priorities and business model now. WE ARE GETTING OLDER!

Oh, I have read your entire post and watched all videos (thx for sharing, Crysis series rocks). Did not find it particularly necessary to quote entire post. See you in the blue!

Well beside demanding what CryEngine3 engine does today is too much for such big world like DCS. CryEngine3 does not simulate flight, nor avionics, it is quite limited and small world in comparison. That is why in FPS games PC resources can be used somewhere else instead of true flight simulator related calculations and that is why flying usually is a hover here and there, shoot this and that arcade game ;) Current DCS damage model delivers everything of that already. Do some crash testing with the Toad ;) Every part in DCS-level a/c is independent, there is full and part body physics, each part has own weight, independent calculations and so on... ED tell me if I am wrong.

Thank You, this makes my next weekend!

^ that could be me, used to be aviation meteorologist and really love above line :D Anywayz I have just uninstalled REX2 and installing REX Essential :pilotfly:

Aircraft will operate and fly differently in final release, so it is better to log this new flight sim from scratch IMHO. You can then brag how much you have flown with successful landings since release dates which will be comparable to other DCS World owners. For now it is beta, so keep it testing and crashing :)
-
Well it is a bug I guess and belongs to all other bug reports :) I guess for now you can rename these files to replace P-51D menu in/loop sounds.

Just copy the values in few entries using notepad++ I'll personally start to log from scratch once DCS World gets released. To me it is logging new sim.

Vehicle Upgrade Pack 1 for DCS:World
Shaman replied to beczl's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Absolutely should be in DCS WORLD base package. ED? -
Should I upgrade from my current ASUS ROG MATRIX GTX 580 Platinum http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/MATRIX_GTX580_P2DIS1536MD5/ ?

When I was installing it box was selected by default "simplified flight model", and I just quickly followed forward without deselecting it. Which settings it affects actually?

I have got the same problem! Windowed mode is broken now. I have two monitors. Trying to run game in primary monitor native resolution but in window mode, so I can still click and use TS3 on second monitor. If I click on TS3 on second monitor then DCS World suddenly minimizes. Although everything works normal (as expected) in DCS: A-10C and DCS Black Shark 2.

What a great news. Can't wait to see them! Has anyone found any photos of them being extracted from under ground or crates being open?
-
Be very careful what tweaks you are applying to fsx.cfg with VRS F/A-18E. Many of them unwillingly cause LOD issues and VRS aicraft visibility in multiplayer!

Mechwarrior 2 and 3 were the best.

Wing Commander IV was awesomeness. I wonder if Saga has TrackIR support.
-
You have been looking so hard for it and now you are selling it? What happened? You managed to find and order two units?

I already own PMDG 737NGX for FSX and would not mind switching to X-plane 10 if PMDG offers me this.

Hi, I have a more constructive opinion regarding MS FLIGHT. First of all it is free to play! Second since it is free to play some kids (even poor ones without parents giving cash for expensive sims/hardware) may get interested in aviation more and pursue later flight sims and aviation careers. Please stop this hate campaign against MS FLIGHT. My very first "flight games" were based on ZX SPECTRUM when I was like 7-8 years old. I wish I had something like MS FLIGHT back then. My true experience began when I got MS FS 4.0 on first PC that dad brought home, everything else before were games. This includes even SOLO FLIGHT I played on my cousins ATARI.
