I tested it today and would say it works ok at distances from 10-30cm. At 2m it doesn't work at all and it's very shaky and cpu hungry. Will try freetrack with the PS3 eye now.

It's not a camera but an infrared receiver.

I'm speaking about Track IR 5 ! And it performs way better at 2m distance to it then Freetrack. I'm not saying it's bad but Track IR (5) is better.

I tested it with the Wiimote and other webcams and Track IR is superior if you want to use it at longer distances.

Hey PeterP is there a way that you could make cycling radio communications ? What I would like: Mic Switch Up/Dwn to cycle the entrys, Mic Switch Aft to return to previous menu, Mic Switch Down to choose and confirm. I saw a thread where Evil was talking about that by using arrow keys and I don't think they will implement it. Best regards, Migo

Overclock your cpu to ~4Ghz. There are a lot of How-Tos to find in the internet. Then you should upgrade your graphics card. GTX 560/570/580 or HD6950/6970, I don't know how much you want to spend.

I can't answer you but can someone tell me how to find out the altitude to the ground ? Lets say you start an "instant action" mission. You only got the sealevel altitude 29.92. So instead of 300ft my HUD shows 3000ft I know the radar altitude can be displayed by using the RDR Tape but there must be another way.

Afaik you have to use PPJoy if you use the 64bit version of DCS.

After I did read your post I immediately found a PS3 eye on ebay with only a few seconds left. I went wild and bid quick and got one for 7,50€. I think that's a nice price to test it out. I'll see if it works. I also read that some users with similar setup as me (P67A-UD3/Win7 64) got problems with FTNOIR.

How does FaceTrackNoIR work ? Does the camera track eyes or something ? I sit 2m/2.5m away from my plasma tv, Track IR works without problems at this distance, do you think NoIR could get this done, too ? Because I know that most people sit directly in front of their monitors...

Gimbal lock ? Is that when the TGP goes crazy and doesn't come out of his hideout anymore ? Had that sometimes after sharp turns.

I know this mission is bugged so maybe that's your problem. I think ED removed the 3rd party campagins because of their bugs.
