  1. hehehe... this sounds wrong... didn't they hit their deadline? If a developer always hits deadlines, probably lieing about how long it will take
  2. Why don't you try a formation landing with an AI F/A-18C at Batumi, see if you can match their turn-off
  3. Very nice, great find I have only tried this in Caucasus (AO online) so far. The visuals are far better/sharper and I did not notice any negative impact on performance. Tweaking times ahead!
  4. Try "Navair 01-1B-40 pdf" EDIT: sorry, it is behind a paywall, the superceded version is available though and looks generic
  5. There should be two red dots per line; the second one should tell you where where conflict is when you hover over it. For me, it is usually something in General or UI Layer. something like this...
  6. I have this too. The distance to the ground from the F/A-18C, for example, is compressed while the rest of the cockpit looks normal. I can resolve this by tilting the bottom of the headset slightly away from my nose.
  7. I'm lazy, I grab my helmet with my left hand and force the view down to click the button with the VR mouse.
  8. You got a flaps warning... you may have missed trimming for T/O weight.
  9. Thank you chaps; these guides are very much appreciated, kudos!

    Reverb G2

I have the same with my G1. I also have to tilt the headset slightly upward to get the correct perspective/distance from the cockpit to the ground.
  11. 04 April 2019 ... ... so long ago, and such a different way of life back then.
  12. The font stokes overlap - which cause prominent bubbles due to the opacity of the stroke. Is it possible to increase the intensity of the font strokes to reduce the bubbling effect?
  13. May I suggest asking someone who has never seen the Harrier MFD screens in VR before to run the Cold and Dark training mission while in VR. It it possible that you may not see the extent of the problem in VR if you have any kind of MFD screen muscle memory. Maybe ED could provide you with examples of how they migrated the F/A-18C, which works well in VR.

    Cyclic ops

It would be cool if the menu was sorted so that currently tuned frequencies were listed at the top, regardless of distance.
  15. There are a couple in the User Files section... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/index.php?set_filter=Y&arrFilter_pf[filetype]=41&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=30&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&set_filter=Filter I tried to bind my hotas to be strict per aircraft, but I too, like speed-of-heat, have changed my ways to make transition quicker.
  16. I can confirm that the text in VR is now very difficult to read, even when head close to MFD. Some of the stacked characters bleed into each other and the text is blurred.
  17. I ponder Henk Hesselink each time this threadupdates
  18. Sorry if this has already been discounted... Is it possible that you have the same axis switch bound to two controllers?
  19. I conducted several tests using different graphics options. The issue presents as a miss-aligned band at a specific distance in the 3D world. Changing the Visb Range system option moves the miss-aligned band towards or away from the horizon. Some Visib Range settings intorudce a second band near the horizon. Again, this issue is resolved by enabling stereo_mode_use_shared_parser.
  20. +1 You could try using the stereo_mode_use_shared_parser option (search forums). Please note that this is not supported by ED, and will break some cockpit lighting in most modules. It prevents eye strain and headaches in day-time missions (for me).
  21. Thanks for the reply. I will try and explain further. With stereo_mode_use_shared_parser set to true, objects are rendered correctly in both eyes, the 3D environment looks normal (except for some lighting). With stereo_mode_use_shared_parser set to false, some objects are not rendered in the left eye, or are shifted to one side. These objects look odd... silvery, shimmery, or like old school anaglyphs where the model moved between photos. Sorry, it is hard to describe. Not all the elements in the scene are like this, just certain mountains, buildings or sets of trees. Even worse if I enable shadows.
  22. I have to use stereo_mode_use_shared_parser so that the clouds, trees and buildings render correctly in both eyes (silver/shimmer/etc causes eye strain). Unfortunately, this means some cockpit lights only render in one eye making night missions impractical. Anyone know if there is an option to have lights and objects rendered properly in both eyes in VR? (SteamVR + Reverb G1)
  23. I only fly VR... MFDs unreadable... chocks unremovable... day/night switches reversed... I gave up... I'll come back in another 6 months
  24. Very happy with mine, 1 year+ and still tight. I bolted mine to a large MDF sheet pushed under my desk to the wall.
