  1. I have the 1080ti which is doing a good job. My bottleneck appears to be CPU which is already overlocked. I did manage to claw some CPU back by disabling a number of exports (withcraft, tacview, viacom) so have added low shadows back. 60Hz is not too bad and low terrain textures are ok.
  2. Oh, did Exports take a hit? I've just clawed back some a load of CPU by disabling Witchcraft. I also run Tacview and VAICOM Pro but they were only about 4% CPU combined, and I can't do without VCP.
  3. Sadly, performance has dropped for me too, a lot. I've almost run out of options to disable or degrade, I really don't want to fly in minecraft.
  4. I did; repaired DCS (via steam), removed shader files from both directories, and checked/refreshed nVidia/SteamVR settings. I can still run with high terrain textures in most single player missions, at least the ones not too heavy with weather and smoke. 60Hz is a lot better than it used to be though; only the trees and clouds are rendered in different positions now giving the silver effect, mountains are solid again. I'm saving for a new motherboard and cpu. I think DCS may well get more processor intensive as more core features are added/enhanced.
  5. I'm feeling a bit left out now :( Sadly, my VR performance dropped, especially in multiplayer. I've had to drop from 90 to 60 Hz, and from high to low terrain textures.

  8. You would probably need to operate both consumer models together in this instance, especially as a lot of customers own early access modules that are already fully paid.
  9. In RL you have meaty tools that you can use to reduce the glare on the screen :)
  10. Thank you for the suggestion. I tried your workaround, HIDDEN ON PLANNER + LATE ACTIVATION, however the exclusion zone is still displayed on the SA page at mission start. This bug appears to be specific to the F/A-18C. Late activated SAMs do not appear on the F-16 or AV-8B situational pages.

  12. Hello, DCS scripting greenhorn looking for wisdom. I have a Group with "HIDDEN ON MAP" enabled and would like to disabler/unhide it via a trigger. I've tried the ACTIVATE and AI-ON actions, and checked the Group/Contoller classes but can't seem to find a way to achieve this. Does anyone know if this is possible?
  13. I am pretty sure that before 2.5.6.50321 the SA page did not show AWACS data until D/L was switched on. The SA page now shows data regardless of system states. Did something get fixed? or broken?
  14. I thought this was already a thing. The loadouts I create and save via the Mission Editor are listed in the "SELECT LOADOUT" drop-down in the Rearm & Refuel dialog for all other single/multi-player missions. Loadouts appear to be stored in an aircraft specific file in the following folder... %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads\

  16. The VV may be broken then, if it is intended to indicate slip/skid when uncaged. I tested using an extreme asymmetric loadout to induce slip/skid, FL20, no wind, A/P ALT/HDG. Uncaging/caging appears to indicate slip/skid, as expected. Countered slip/skid using rudder, ball now centered in slip indicator. Uncaging/caging appears to indicate same slip/skid as before, e.g. rudder didn't change VV movement.

  18. That's it, I was testing wind effects on heave and was running DCS in desktop mode. I ran the same test mission in VR and my deck crew are normal again. Thank you sire!
  19. My deck crew can't stand still, they are doing high-speed deck sliding / jittering / shaking / shuffling... anyone else? I've tried creating my own mission, just the ship, me and wingman, and tried one of the pre-baked F/A-18C Supercarrier missions. I'm sure it wasn't like this before.

  21. Depends if there is any documentation, hunting for the code can be rough. The developer will tell lead it will take x days, lead tells sales x + 50%, sales tells customer x * 250%, planners add a further 20% contingency during planning, customer smiles. Poor developer still only gets paid for x though!
