ERKAN ALMAZ Despite there are tons of EKRAN/ALMAZ messages in the game file,not all of them are working right now,some of them seems only to be placeholders.

Hi... Now in the sim,the "Danger Engine Vibration"("Опасность вибрация двигателя") EKRAN message won't be read out by Batty,only "Watch ERKAN" is read out,even If the voice message emergency on is set on the center bottom panel,still only "Watch ERKAN" is read out. (also all other voice messages related to those red warning lights at upper left corner of the front panel,like engine turbine overspeed ,L/R eng/APU fire/Warning under attack,they just directly be read out by Batty and don't require the emergency message switch set to on,so I guess the same should also apply for the "Danger Engine Vibration") edit:I just find an old video of engine failure in the DCS Black Shark which was recorded 9 years ago,in that video,after the engine vibration warning was triggered,the Betty just directly read out ("Опасность вибрация двигателя"(Danger Engine Vibration) (and seems didn't require the voice message emergency on switch set to on.) Starting from 00:18s (game lua file of Batty) (By the way also another thing,maybe not a bug but looks odd to me,the ERKAN text messages >>>this one <<< for high engine vibrations only appear when the engines actually get damaged.When you using the engine vibrations test button on the rear panel,the red warning lights and the "watch ERKAN" message will show up,but the ERKAN won't display any message on it)(this is also included in the same track) Ka50 HI VIBR ENG.trk

nah the INU was never implemented in BS2 despite there was not a single "not functional" in the manual related to it,it just simply don't drift and works like a magic GPS. There was also no GPS auto-update to the INU in the BS2,and that's also the reason why the PVI800 and the autopilot can't use the flight plan you put in the ABRIS. The INU don't drift in BS2 is due to it's not modeled,not the GPS update. The ka50 is modern but not that modern,more like an AH-64A. But I agree that the INU in BS3 is really buggy now,and there are still missing features like PVI800 STM mode and INU Emergency Alignment. And I kinda don't like that advertisement We got this since the Mirage 2000 got released back in 2016. And also the F-14. Maybe the shark will get a better INS model(after the bug fix),but it's definitely not the first time.

Hi. I have a small question about memory mode target tracking when weapon system mode selector is in the Backup/manual position(“РУ”). In the English sim manual,it states that if the backup/manual mode is selected,there will be no memory mode target tracking,but I noticed in the sim,the Shkval will still change into memory mode when target is masked and recapture it if it reappear soon enough. I wonder if there is anything wrong in the sim or just the manual needs a update. Ka50 memory mode.trk (At the very end of the track,the Shkval was in Backup/manual mode and the APC got masked by the chimney,you can see the Shkval TV changed from "TA" to “П”,which means the memory mode,and after the APC have passed the chimney,the Shkaval TV automatically re-locked on it and changed back to "TA" ) Thanks for any answer in advance.

Hi. In the sim and our manual,there are some things related to onboard computers failures. Like the NAV and Combat computer can take over some functions of each other in case of one is failed by selecting a knob on the targeting mode control panel,some warning lights related to computer malfunction located on the back panel,and some EKRAN messages. It would be cool to see them get implemented in the future.

IIRC,these 2 switches are the same,just for redundancy. And you need to select a mode first before engageing the LAAP. So press 234 first then Q or A.

Hi,the manual surely needs some update. But about Laser Warning Receiver,don't forget you could change between the old "2011" version of ka50 with LWR and the newer version with MWS in the mission editor. In the 2011 version of BS3 you still got the new INS and new external model -
Hi. The flight path history line is a wonderful and useful tool in the shark,but if u circle around above a place for too long,the ABRIS map will become really a mess. I wonder if you could clear or reset it,anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance. Edit...:It seems that no one knows it and there is no way to reset it in the cockpit....Maybe it is reset by the ground crew via some secret button when the heli is on the ground IRL? If so,is there any chance to add an option to the ground crew radio to let them reset this when the heli on the ground,it would be useful for people flying long missions with small operation area.

Hi.. Right now the BHAB(VNAV) bar on NAV/HSI/ARC page can only guide you to the mission preset waypoint altitude(set by the mission editor),the vnav plan you set in the ABRIS has no effect on it. Any chance to let the BHAB bar guide us follow our own vnav flight plan created in the cockpit?

But they are not even clickable.. am I missing something? edit: I find out that fire warning sensor group test switch is implemented,but it's not clickable and can only be moved via keybinds. Don't know the reason for that... The ice detector control button is not clickable and there is no keybind for it though.... I guess it's not functional. Thanks for the info

Hi. As titled. The fire warning sensor group test switch on the right wall panel and ice detector control button at the top part of auxiliary control panel) are explained in detail in our game manual since BS2,and both are included in the start up procedures. But they are not implemented in the sim for some reason. Since we already have similar thing implemented in the Mi8 and 24,in there any chance to add it to the BS3? Thanks... Hi.... I noticed that after changing the speed unit for ABRIS to Knots,the "KNOTS"s at the top row of MENU--PLAN page and MAP/HSI/ACR----FPL page are too long and overlapped with other symbol.. An abbreviation might be better for those page....

Hi,I noticed that when the ABRIS "Distance to go to STP" and "Cross track error" is displaying a value over 100,they are still using the DDD.D format. The value is then too long and overlap with other symbol. In our sim manual it says that the "Distance to go to STP" will switch from DD.D format to DDDD when the value > 100. and "Cross track error" will switch from D.D format to DDD when the value > 10. Also by the way ,what do the "AM" and "MM" mean when selecting range unit?.... In the manual it says "KM" and "NM",but we got "KM" "AM" and "MM" instead in the sim..

I searched the Ru forum using the google translator,since the DEVs are more active there. There was someone asked about the missing switches/functions like cockpit ECS controls,ampere volt meters,BIT/test switchs and optic filter for the Shkval,back in January 2022... And they answered "no" for the cockpit ECS and optic filter for the Shkval page 43 and page 44

Hi,In the manual it says that there is a simulated flight modes of PVI-800 INU which will simulate the entered flight plan with a simulated ground speed of 1,000 km/h. I don't think it's working in the sim. Any chance to implement this mode together with this huge INS system update?

No,there is no function implemented AFAIK,u can just leave it there. The IFF panel itself is fully functional,as well as some settings in the IFFCC,but only as eye candy.You can follow the real checklist and set it up,but it won't affect whether other players can IFF u or not.
