I don't own a AMD x570 yet, but it is on my wishlist. I hope the coming April AMD AGESA 1.2.02 update fixes USB issues including any on X56. https://www.anandtech.com/show/16554/amd-set-to-roll-out-agesa-firmware-usb-fix-for-ryzen-coming-april

New Guy with some hardware questions

Re: JetSeat and war stories: I have just starting reading-skimming the Main ED Forum Threads for the JetSeat and Free(Donation Ware) Software called SimShaker for Aviators. Looks like 5 years of comments and over 200 Pages mostly positive comments and some reviews so far. Lots of the typical Trouble shooting and and Feature Request questions with constant participation by the developers. So far it seems better than what I have now, which is a 20 year old Herman Aeron Office chair. 2 Threads: Gametrix JetSeats thread (in English) [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums -

Yah.. the Technology in Sim Pits is fantastic these days, especially for car racing. There is Something Called a Buttkicker Gamer2 that looks like it adds even more "Kick" to your chair.. lol. I do know that Flight Sim and Race Car sims are MUCH MUCH cheaper than real racing.. I hope to get the "courage" to order the JetSeat this week, I just realized how "DEAD" everything felt when taxing, landing and flying in DCS. There is just no soul. You even get haptic feedback when airbrake and flaps are deployed and with Angle of Attack.. lol.. I will just tell my wife it is a Massage Pad for Office Chairs.. lol.. After you decide on a Flight Stick, or during your purchase, consider an extension of 10 cm or more depending on where you will place the flight stick. Having that extra length gives more fine/realistic control in flight, especially for helicopters. Just search around and enjoy the journey. Cheers. -
@pet333r Thank you for the update! I will probably install the update in a few days.. But I thank you in ADVANCE for giving option for gestures and buttons for swipe.. Regarding increased panel performance on A-10C CDU: I have an older Nexus 10 Tablet: On the F/A-18C I noticed a 1 to 1.5 second LAG between UFC and EFEI on my Monitor verses the DCS UFS Android App. I did not notice the same LAG with newer phones or Tables, but really did not pay much attention or trouble shoot further, because it was not a real problem for me. Would the performance updates you did on the A-10C improve other modules in future? MOVING Forward: I will install the latest update in a few days and see if there is anything more meaningful to add. At this point root cause of the LAG is the NEXUS109 Tablet.. Other newer tables are perfect! Cheers.

@greyeagle787 You will Enjoy DCS - great community - - If you are patient you will be rewarded - After you purchase your main peripheral's, and you have some money left in your budget you can check this out: Here is the Main DCS Forum Thread - the Developer @=Andre= is a regular participant. -
@Bergison That cool. I have not got mine working yet, but I place 100% fault on my "Potato" Setup. LoL. If I get a chance I will try 0.22 if not I can wait for your next release. Cheers..

Suggestions Try the options below: Make sure you unplug ALL other USB Flight Devices like Throttle and Flight Stick etc.. Do not plug in your Combat Rudder Pedals until prompted by setup program Run Setup program as administrator Try the Older version of Driver (I use this >> 7.0.47.1 see attachment) Pro_Flight_Combat_Rudder_Pedals_7_0_47_1_x64_Drivers.exe

Wow!! Nice.

Bump. Good luck in you sale I am sure it will go fast. I am in Canada and looking to purchase one from Audre's Shop in April. For others not familiar with the V1 JetSeat: Does V1 have 6 Motors or 8 Motors like the current models for sale?
-
After reading these threads and the YouTube reviews: I don't want THIS, I really NEED this! Import and duty Fees to Canada will be as high as $95. Yikes Hope l can find a way to tell my wife it is just a massage pad for the Herman Miller Aeron Office chair. Lol Has anyone ever put a sheepskin pad on top for that F-16 look? I think Andre is back from what looks like a working vacation by the weekend. I hope he is in a good mood and received lots of sales to what looks like an excellent product. Cheers.

competition ended DCS: P-47D Thunderbolt livery competition

For Saved Games I seem to have had no problems using: \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\P-47D-30\ -
Looking at the pattern DCS set last year by updating cockpits of the 2 oldest modules in DCS, A-10C and KA-50, it will just be a matter of time. I could envision ED doing cockpit updates at a time when the release of other planes or maps are in long development cycle. With the proper timing ED would probably be able to generate a lot of extra unit sales for the updated modules from the hype and interest generated. But of course, that would only come with period accurate assets and maps. For now I used some of the GOOD Cockpit Updates available in the Downloads >> User files in the DCS Website. @pet333r, I don't know how you manage to add so many panels to the app, but Thanks - Much appreciated.

I have noticed a few times when starting DCS World with Tobii Tracker 5 that it would not detect properly. One Tip I picked up was to open up the Tobii gamehub DCS World Profile and quickly Disable and Enable it again.
-
Hi Snowblind and all, So far I am enjoying the Tobii 5C. I feel I will be tweaking the DCS World Tobii GameHub settings for many weeks to come. I had the TrackIR5 for years before I found good information on how to set proper curves. Since Eyetracking is new to me, I think I will need 100 hours of play to get used eye tracking movement in concert with head tracking movement. I also have FaceTracknoIR but will stick with GameHub until I get more comfortable with Tobii eye tracking. I did find that changing the plethora of settings was mandatory in getting crisp head tracking similar to TrackIR5. I DO NOT miss wearing a my goofy cap or headphones with a Track-Clip PRO.. the Freedom is appreciated and the fact the Tobii works great in all light conditions is a bonus. Anyone can search Internet to find many Tobii tips or reference for settings. The two most useful links for me thus far have been: Tobii Eye Tracker 5 Settings 180 Degrees DCS by azayomi How to use Eye Tracking features in ETS2 & ATS by Tobii

Thanks.. Looks like the hosted version on the link is still v0.20. Does the latest DCS Moving Map display another version number when installed correctly?
-
No Joy.. reply in Green.. I can turn this into a positive.. I will add it to the list of excuses I use when I am telling my wife I need to upgrade my computer.. lol..
-
Thanks for your reply.. No JOY..... my response is highlighted in green. I will keep trying here and there and maybe some day it will work.. LoL..... I must be something with my Local User ID used to run DCS vs my Administrator Privilage / Access rights.

I am hoping that in the next 2 or 3 months AMD figures out the root cause related to the USB Ports on 500 Series System Boards. There are many related stories on the USB issue on newer AMD Boards. One Example: https://www.pcseekers.tech/2021/02/amd-b550-x570-motherboard-usb-problem.html

Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9

Maybe @Glow means the DCS "Simulated" Shockwave from the explosion? -
All the Before Pictures always looked fine to me, but the new After Pictures are MUCH appreciated!
-
Just tried the new version - is there any other troubleshooting tips? I get "No data from DCS and Sorry, no map available for this area." My Host IP address is 192.168.2.10

Maybe a Cessna O-2A Skymaster. https://blog.museumofflight.org/vietnam-war-pilots-and-the-planes-they-flew

I see some of you may have tried the MOD from Users Files Download called: M-2000C Engine & Cockpit Sounds Fix mod by Sedenion. It is better than defaults Here is the link to the thread on this forum as well: Maybe Razbam will "Adopt" this mod for a future release of the M-2000C and include the other missing switch clicking sounds. I would suspect that you would not be able hear most switch sounds with a helmet on and the planes engine running, but the extra sound feedback would be appreciated. RAZBAM - DOES MAKE EXTRA-NICE COCKPITS!!!!

Thumbs up for a way to Reduce time for Long Press. 1000 ms is too long... even 700 ms will do. I tried Sequences - but that feature delays when the press will happen it does not work if you want to use a button for two keybinds via a Long Press. For example: I use a thumb button on my throttle to Re-Center a TrackIR / Tobii eye tracker camera. I use that same button with a Long Press to Disable/Pause TrackiIR and Tobii. As it is now it works, but would be nice it the Long Press took "less-long". Cheers.
