  1. V11 looks glorious! lol Thanks Sir!
  2. WOW such a fantastic addition to DCS. The VNAO_T45 did not disappoint. Thanks team! If anyone is interested I managed to add an additional KEYBIND for the SpeedBrake. (It can be especially useful for anyone that has an X55/X56 Throttle and likes to use that Thumb Switch Slider for the SpeedBrake). I don't like to use the Logitech Provided software - if I can avoid it I will. All I did was make a backup of the original default.lua and add this extra line in the --- Throttle section of the lua. C:\Users\YOURNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\VNAO_T45\Input\joystick Once all is working you will find an additional keybind in the Controls for the T45 named: " Speed Brake SLIDER Closed/Open " Sample of SpeedBrake binding code I added: {down = EFM_commands.SpeedBrakeSwitch, up = EFM_commands.SpeedBrakeSwitch, value_down = -1.0, value_up = 1.0, name = _('Speed Brake SLIDER Closed/Open'), category = _('Throttle Grip')}, -- for Slider Switch on X56/X55 or any 2 Position Switch |UP = Pressed & DOWN = Released| Thanks again VNAO team.
  3. I just did a quick test using the "NEW T45". Similar to what was mentioned earlier for the M2000 vs MB-339 the following situation gave accurate feedback in the T45 for me. You may get similar results with other planes as well: For me: I loaded SimShaker for Aviators. I ran a mission that used the A-4E-C and Simshaker working as designed. Exit that mission or choose another slot if both planes are in same mission. Loading the T45 and you will see Simshaker for Aviators detect the Current aircraft: T45 as the A-4E-C using the Model: A-4E-C Module.. I even saw it detect as A-10C once.. Interesting.. Cheers.
  4. Thanks to this handy FORUM and and a quick GOOGLE Search I am back in. I just ran a WINDOWS 10 Debloating script and it obviously changed the time without me noticing. Saved me from opening up a ticket and wasting ED's time.. Cheers.
  5. You have a Hind? Brand new set of Textures? You cooking up something Barthek? This mod is a Caucasus Must have.. Thanks.
  6. The original I-16 propeller was already very well done. An updated propeller using virtualization technology will just make the I-16 look even better. Thanks Plexus!
  7. So far I am absolutely enjoying the latest 2.7 updates. I just installed 2.7.0.51180 this afternoon and performance is exactly where I expect it to be now. Initially, and in the all the past updates, I noticed 30% or more FPS drops stuttering and Crash to Desktop when starting missions after an update. I also noticed the same behavior when testing out some of the most popular VR and Custom Shader Mods. Some or most of my issues may have been caused by the "Potato" Core i5 3570K struggling to recreate FXO and Meta2 files after an update while at the same time trying to start a new mission. I have noticed that the FXO Pre-Compiled Shaders Folder could take up to 10 minutes and on a many occasions over 30 minutes to finish compiling when loading a map for the first time. Nothing I am writing here is new news and has been mentioned before many times, but I can't help but wonder how many strange stutters or issues are being caused by DCS letting a mission start while trying desperately to compile new Shaders in the background, not to mention any corruption or missing files that may result. I recently created 6 Pre-Compile Shaders Tracks using Instant Action Missions for each map. Going forward when updating DCS or testing Shader Mods I plan to Monitor the FXO folder and run the short replay tracks for each map before I starting stressing about performance impact and FPS loss. Happy Flying!
  8. @firmekthanks for your latest update in 2.7. I have similar experiences and comments as @Hiob. I felt that FOV of 90 was the best compromise overall for me. However for some Warbirds I experimented with going as low as a FOV of 70. If I had a ULTRA ULTRA Wide or 3 Screen setup a 60 FOV would probably be outstanding. I recently tried one of the popular Race Car Simulators and not surprising the FOV Calculators recommend 55 to 60 degrees for my Resolution, Monitor Size and Distance to screen. Not really a surprise. Thanks again.. Cheers.
  9. If the beautiful map makes it's early access debut in a "reasonably" optimized state consider it SOLD!
  10. Thank you @f4l0 : I just got the excellent JetPad from Andre last week. DCS and Simshaker for Aviators was the first thing I tried. After 30 years of computer simulation and dead feeling feedback, this has been a nice change for me and DCS. I now have a new Hobby - "Tweaking and experimenting with the SimShaker for Aviator Settings on all the DCS Modules I own.. LOL I realize that everyone's chairs, motors and preferences are different. Since it is so easy to backup via the File Import Settings and Export Settings I would not mind seeing how others have their settings for the defaults and or various Planes and Helicopters. Is there a link or a part of this 139 page thread that I missed where I can see how you or others have experimented? I did find this helpful YouTube Video from YodaNZ Cheers.
  11. I came back to DCS, after being away from it for over 5 years. The MB-339 was the first plane I learned to taxi take off and land consistently with. This 2nd Generation Italian Canadian, can't wait for the MB339 to be back in DCS where it belongs. - Sooner the better now that we have reached the 2.7 Clouds Milestone! I managed to update the Input Joystick default.lua to allow for my X-56 Thumb switch Slider to accurately Toggle Speed Brake On and Off. I hope the same trick works in the New MB-339 or that we will have a few different options for speed brake extend and retract. {down = iCommandPlaneAirBrake, up = iCommandPlaneAirBrake, name = _('Airbrake Slider OUT/IN'), category = _('Systems')}, -- Airbrake Slider Switch Mod Cheers.
  12. Maybe ED will "adopt" the Better Trees officially in the next update. I was surprised and HAPPY when I found that the better trees was still working great in 2.7.
  13. When I first got the EyeTracker I watched too many Tobii videos and played around with the settings for a few days. So far so good in DCS. Here are my Head Tracking Settings for comparison: (Maybe you have a setting or two that you can adjust and get back to TrackIR 5 type performance) Head tracking settings Enable head tracking ON Head auto center ON Head rotation Enable head roll ON Yaw sensitivity 3.75 Pitch sensitivitry 2.75 Roll sensitivity 1.00 Sensitivity gradient Exponent 2 Inflection point 0.45 Start point 0.00 End point 0.80 View angle limits Yaw 130 <> -130 Pitch 90 <> -30 Pitch mirror OFF Head position Enable head position ON X sensitivity 0.95 Y sensitivity 2.00 Z sensitivity 1.5 Another tip I found was related to Jittery Tracking: Use Mouse Polling rate 125 not 1000 . For DCs if setting is not there it could result in Jittery Tracking. Test: Use ALT + C to look around with the mouse see if is extremely jittery and not smooth. The fix for that was to change Mouse Polling rate from 1000 down to 125or 100.
  14. From your browser: Right Click the Better Smoke Version you want select the Save link as.. option follow prompts.
  15. I agree Native Support in the future would be for the best. @Vortex7, when you described "zooming in over the cockpit buttons and jumping around" I got the impression you are using Head Tracking and Eye Tracking (Glance) at the same time. Have you tried dialing down the Gaze tracking settings or just turning them off all together by setting the Pitch and Yaw Limits to 0 degrees? For Example Here are my "Dialed Down" Gaze tracking settings TOBII Eye Tracker 5C Setting Gaze tracking settings: Responsiveness 60% Sensitivity gradient: Exponent 1.50 Inflection point 0.10 Start point 0.00 End point 0.90 Limits: Yaw 25 <> -25 Pitch 20 <> -20 Pitch mirror OFF Cheers and good luck!
  16. MAPS - Great idea! I may not get a chance to update everything for a few days - but just want to be first to say thank you. Cheers..
  17. I just installed 2.7 a few hours ago. I did quick test and enabled this mod 20 minutes ago - it seems to be working. However, I will leave the official word on compatibility with MUSTANG. Re: What does this MOD do? - From my observations and the First Page of this Tread - This mod deactivates the flat shadows of practically all scenery objects (notably trees/forests and buildings) within DCS World, only leaving shadows for own aircraft and surrounding objects such as ground units and other aircraft.
  18. The sooner the Official MB-339 is available on the ED Store the better. I do not want to fly the MB-339 in that Other sim.. I want it in DCS lol.
  19. @SkateZilla, the DCS Updater / Launcher GUI Utility is essential - I appreciate and look forward to the update. Last year I started adding more to DCS and found myself using the External Apps launcher to manually and or automatically launch utilities. I am now using C1, C2, C3, and C4. Will this feature still exist in the next version and will it be possible to have the icons adopt the default icon from the Windows EXE file? Cheers and Thanks!
  20. Very happy that I bought this map at Launch. Also happy that I bought a 1TB SSD last year for DCS.. LoL.. All is LOOKING VERY GOOD@MAESTR0
  21. I just ordered the X56 Stick Extension. Maybe some 1/10 Scale 125mm (Hole to Hole) shocks lying in a drawer will be fun tory try. If I can work out something in the next 4 to 6 weeks I will post a picture. Cheers
  22. Looking like an Instant Classic.. Thanks!
  23. Hi, @=Andre=Thank you for your quick reply to my e-mail! To anyone in Canada that has Received a JetPad in the last 3 years can you confirm how much TAX and Duty you Paid? I am hoping that it will just be the Standard 13% HST and 5% Default Duty after that. [edit] It's Official - My Order has been Placed in the shop and I got my INVOICE # IN##00##32 It looks like my "wife" will eventually be getting a Olive Green JetPad FSE edition. Hahaha I did appreciate how buying SimsHaker WHEELS at the time of checkout gives a discount on the software. A purchase of SimShaker Wings at the same time with a similar discount would have resulted in me getting both, but I will hold off for now. Cheers.
  24. To avoid potential future performance problems try not to completely fill any SSD or NVME. For running and loading DCS you should not see much if any difference between a GOOD SSD and an NVME. (You would have to do Benchmarking with a stopwatch to Notice) Look at a minimum 500 GB or 1TB (if you have other games and Lots of Mods and skins in your Saved Games) if you can. Go with what is on Sale and what has good reviews and performance with read and write. I have a 1 TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD and it is Half Used now with DCS, IL2 and a few other things.
  25. @pet333rI love the Latest Updates! We can never make it so that locations are perfect for all devices and users preferences. - This is just LIFE! I like the Navigation Buttons Style < > and that they are opaque is an excellent idea. They are the same as your Webpage - Nice. As people get used to the button locations, you could even have a dial in Settings to further reduce opaqueness. Consistency of Navigation buttons Location is a nice feature and I see you did that as much as possible. You managed to use the Top Right and Top Left Corner for the majority of panels when in Landscape and Portrait. If button location is the same place 100% of the time you can make the Left and Right Navigating buttons as much as 30-50% smaller or thinner. Potentially you can even use a BUTTON-DOT to further reduce conflicts. Maybe there is less chance of future conflict by putting navigation buttons on the bottom? The top buttons may "feel" more intuitive for most. Table Shows Panels that do not have Navigation Buttons < > on Top Right and Left. You may have success moving them in a future update - This is clearly not a Priority. Plane: Panel (Orientation) A10C UFC (Landscape) AV-8B N/A UFC (Landscape) - Master Warning looks like a real conflict? F14 ACMP (Landscape) F16 Right Console (Landscape) F/A-18C UFC (Landscape and Portrait) JF-17 UFCP(Landscape) ** KA-50 ** F-5E ** M-2000C ** AJS37 ** - Not Applicable or Already Consistent - Thanks for this Great APP!
