Speed Brake Extend Retract Using 2 Position Switch a.k.a Else IF Helps anyone with a X55/X56 HOTAS so speed brake is on Thumb Slider where it should be. Or for those that use a two-position toggle for Speed Brake on their throttle. Example: Switch Position Pressed: Speed Brake Extend and Stay in position until released. Switch Position Released: Speed Brake Retract. CODE Example for default.lua: Two-position toggle Switch or Slider Switch on an X55 and X56 Flight Stick {down = iCommandPlaneAirBrake, up = iCommandPlaneAirBrake, name = _('Airbrake Slider OUT/IN'), category = _('Systems')}, -- Airbrake Slider Switch Mod

The RGB Colors are less than accurate. In practice I try to use only 1 color and keep the intensity down. I have had Red set to 5 and others on zero for a long time it is persistent. Cheers.

The I-16 has the most beautifully artistic cockpit in DCS. The listed updates you are providing will be very much appreciated! Many thanks for the update Plexus . There is already an Excellent English Cockpit Quartermaster created - Since you are doing an I-16 Update you can save a few hours by adding his MOD to the Update. The I-16 is your Project so it is your choice. I-16 English Cockpit MOD created by Quartermaster! (Very nice includes all labels and Knots Airspeed) Type - ModAuthor - Quartermaster Date - 19.09.2020 02:48 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312282/

Thanks for joining the party @Battlefield Productions! All your suggestions from your introductory post are fun and valid. If there is one thing in your list that you are PASSIONATE about, as a developer and a DCS customer, I would hope you would include that in what could be your first wave. I do like the idea of having what sounds like "High Fidelity" vehicles and weapons systems in the future.

DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
YSIAD_RIP replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
ReShade 4.9.0 User here. I just successfully Installed and flew the Hercules Beta ver 6.1 for the first time. Ticking the box to enable Steam & ReShade in DCS SPECIAL OPTIONS Menu completely fixes the previous versions FPS issues. Thank you ANUBIS for the successful fix - Congratulations on your wonderful MOD! I am also getting a DCS Crash to Desktop as soon as I end a Mission with the Hercules in it. I am running a Plethora of MOD's at the moment so I will not trouble shoot in the current state. RE: DCS Crash To Desktop (CtD) - I also get more frequent CtD when using the MB-339 - I figure it is related to the MOD's not having full access to the SDK and ED making changes to DCS in the last few months with updates. AND YES - If I Remove the Core NS430 Navigation System from the Module Manager the Hercules no longer Crashes to Desktop on Exit of a mission. I will survive like this and let the future updates work themselves out and in my spare time see if there is a workaround. Cheers. -
@jocko417 - I remember watching that F-104 episode of Star Trek when I was a kid and then re-watching it 40 years later. Tomorrow is Yesterday was a fantastic episode and excellent advertising for the Starfighter back in the late 1960's. VSN has a UFO Mod - maybe someone can put a skin on that and cook up a USS Enterprise lol.. - Again many thanks for the memories that these CF-104 Skins bring back.. Cheers! I hope new DCS Clouds look like this in the "Near Future"

Seems to be a common problem with the Saitek / Logitech X-56 sliders and dials on the throttle too. Try to use a MODIFIER when doing any ZOOM. That way the jittery zoom will go away as soon as you let go of your MODIFIER button. For example my Zoom View Binding is: Pinkey + JOY_RZ. Good luck.

It is a DCS Tradition... lol Enjoy the destruction!

@pet333r, I am happy with everything so far.. very nice to see your updates whenever they come. Would you every consider doing weapons control panels for the less complicated aircraft like the F-5E, F-86, MiG-15, Warbirds or even Helicopters? Or maybe that could be a separate app?

Simply drop the Sounds folder into your savedgames DSC folder. C:\Users\Username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta and enjoy.. cheers.

Barthek's CAUCASUS REDONE 2022
YSIAD_RIP replied to Barthek's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Looks like you are installing to Users / Saved Games folder - this MOD must be installed in the DCS.openbeta ROOT folder not in Users Saved Games. Create another Profile in OvGME if necessary so that the MOD installed correctly.. Good luck. -
Same here.. Thanks.

Looking good - I am following this thread Now. Currently I am using F-5E Tiger II pit by Bummer - It will be awesome to have another cockpit option for the F5. Thanks!

The year 2020 has been one to forget - I don't know any family or business that has not been impacted in some way. The two Free to Play promotions and many sales that ED has provided this year are appreciated. Trying modules that I would never have considered has been a rare WIN-WIN situation in the year that was COVID-2020. I share most of the same concerns and opinions of the YAK-52 and it's current Early Access state after two years. That said - it really is crazy fun and relaxing to fly - For a prop plane, visibility in the cockpit is fantastic too. As of today there is a 75% chance that I will buy the moderately priced YAK before this current sale is finished. The YAK-52 is the one plane my Granddaughter was able to consistently take off and fly around in. I can see why the Russians use if for training because it is very easy to fly formations and aerobatics in. It is extra fun when you turn on wake turbulence and fly formation! This evening I made a copy of the MB-339 QuickStart Mission (Batumi- Air show.miz) replacing all the planes with the YAK-52. Flying the YAK is like flying 1/2 speed with other planes LoL. My hope is that ED will be able to finish the YAK in early 2021 and I plan to be there when that "faithful" Open Beta Patch is released! Thanks ED - do your best in 2021.

I just installed the F-80 Mod in my MAIN DCS Folder: \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\ After that I was able to select and Fly the F-80 in the Mission Editor. Hope that helps.

I agree - explosions, smoke, lighting and or some combination of damage in the environment - challenging indeed.. Glad I am not the developer(s) with the task of trying to find root cause by troubleshooting and "simplifying" the 'ultra complex' DCS Graphics engine. Not fun - I am sure. Good Luck ED thanks @BIGNEWY - Happy Holidays!

investigating Propeller disk too visible
YSIAD_RIP replied to Decibel dB's topic in Bugs and Problems
I will stay positive and hope that ED will "eventually" correct the props once the warbirds damage model is more close to finalized. Maybe fixing too soon would just result in duplicate effort - timing is everything. I HOPE! - Another First World Problem for me. Happy flying.. I feel sorry for the little YAK-52 it deservers a new update this Christmas too - LoL! -
[WIP] Undercarriage retracts with weight on the wheels
YSIAD_RIP replied to Phantom453's topic in Bugs and Problems
No Change in 2020. No problem.. First World Problem... Any/Someday is fine.. -
No change in Damage Model - It looks like it is still a work in progress. - Glad it is only $20 when on Sale. The POSITIVE side of me hopes that the damage model will be updated when the Warbirds Damage Model is Finalized in 2021!
