  1. Hi @Eaglewingscongradulations on your purchase. I am a new JetPad owner too and went thru similar learning curve and am constantly making changes - it is like a 2nd hobby lol. Comments: I feel that all settings and strength of each effect is subject to personal preference and also the individual strength of the motors on your JetPad. Here is a MUDSPIKE Story that talks about haptic feedback and Simshaker for Aviators. Some of the discussion can be applied to JetPad. Page 5 of the SimShaker for Aviators Manual (SSAManual.pdf) has a Description of Effects. [HELP >> User Guide] As a suggestion: Try Turning off all the Effects except the one you are tuning. Then choose the strength you prefer. Do the same for all the other settings one at a time. EXAMPLE FOR AN FA/18 EFFECT Enabled Yes/No Strength JetSeat Afternerburner/WEP YES 30 Cannon/Gun Fire YES 25 Canopy/Door Open/Close YES 50 Catapult Shoot YES 50 Chaff/Flare Dispense YES 20 Engine Rumble/Piston Beat NO Failure and Damage YES 50 Flaps Movement NO Gear turbulence YES 9 G Feeling Effect YES 15 Ground bumps YES 25 Ground Roll YES 2 High Speed Shudders YES 50 Landing Gear Up/Down YES 20 LaunchBar YES 50 Payload Release/Missile Launch YES 50 Refuel Boom YES 50 Seat Ejection YES 100 Speedbrake Shudders YES 25 Buffet/Stall Shudders/Vortex Ring State YES 40 Tail Hook YES 50 Touchdown YES 70 Turbulence YES 5 Wheel Blocking YES 40 Wings Fold/Unfold YES 50 Wire Trap YES 50 Cheers. 2. I agree. For anyone that has more than a few planes, having to MOD all the default.lua's for your planes is far from ideal, especially if the planes are Early Access and subject to getting new keybindings from the devs during monthly patching. My peeve is always the airbrake.. lol. As @YealmRota mentions there is a "New - DCS Input Command Injector" that Quaggles posted recently. It lets you add any custom Joystick and Keyboard binding to your Saved Games and you only need to Modify Data.lua in DCS\Scripts\Input folder from the DCS Main Game folder. Check out the DCS forum Thread here with details and comments from those that have downloaded it already. cheers.
  3. Hope you got your C101 Axis binding conflicts resolved by now. A few of the warning / conflict binding messages for the C101 prevented me from applying most of my axis after the last update. I managed to work around it by doing a few things and eventually got the errors cleared. I first tried clearing the conflicted bindings and then Resetting the category to defaults - then left the game and came back. Good luck.
  4. Yep..100% once you have seen the pop and flicker you can't "un-see" it.. lol.
  5. It is so REFRESHING when a piece of software works as documented on the first try! A10C test was smooth.. Thanks @Quaggles I have an X56 Throttle and spent a lot of time updating all of my jets joystick default.lua's so that the Speed Brake slider worked properly. Once I move all my updates to @Munkwolf's skeleton I will not have to worry about future DCS updates and new default.lua and bindings etc.. AWESOME! FYI: if anyone is looking for more examples of 2 Position toggle for Speed Brake on X56 you can get 14 examples here: In DCS User Files Downloads > X55/56 Speed Brake Slider by Shiroka
  6. Any gaming mouse will let you adjust your polling rate (or Report Rate) using their provided software and some may have buttons on the mouse to change the rate. For example: I use a Logitech G700s and to change polling rate I installed their Latest Logitech Gaming Software For any other mice you probably need to download it's driver or an equivalent utility. Cheers.
  7. Can you take a quick look at your CONTROLS Menu? Check UI Layer. Does the End mission Action have the "Esc" Keyboard binding assigned? Maybe the defaults got changed / corrupted or overwritten? Cheers. JJF.
  8. Great! Now Greta Thunberg is going to say " How dare you. " lol
  9. As a Happy "Client" of the Smoke Mods since V1.. I am still Happy! THANKS!
  10. @SkateZilla: I Downloaded, installed and setup the updated GUI utility in 5 minutes. Works for me! Thanks for the Updates to the interface. The Custom Application button import of icons works great too! Cheers.
  11. @Barthek, I just installed Caucasus Redone Summer 2021 with no other Terrain or Tree mods: It looks like you took lessons learned from the excellent Normandy map that you fixed and applied some of it to the new Caucasus. I can say that you did not waste any of your time doing this update, it is another beautiful effort. Thanks. The trees look really good and I know I removed all other mods.. Colors and detail in the summer look less saturated now. I have been using Mustangs shader mods for so long I had to install his latest 2.7 Shaderedits v0.7 after initial testing just to see. - Yes! I like the new Caucasus even more. If you could figure out a way to get some red roofs on some of the homes/building it it would make ED literally blush! LoL.. I hope ED is monitoring these threads and will do the "right thing" in a future update.
  12. I was flying around Syria all last night.. was really happy with the optimization and performance in the map. No stutter or lags when flying low between buildings.
  13. @John Paesanoand @frostycab: Have you tried any of the Troubleshooting steps found on the first page of this thread? I had to use it once a year ago. See below for summary: Troubleshooting: -In the event the App's Config File is Corrupted, You Can Delete it by Deleting the Following Folder: /<Username>/Appdata/Local/Skate_Zilla_Graphics_Stud/ -In the Event the App Starts Up, but is off the Screen (Corrupted Position) Right Click The System Tray Icon fo SZGS Updater, Choose "Restore Application Window" Option
  14. @TWC_Alamo upgrade if you can.. The new JetPads are really nice! I just got mine a few weeks ago and the fabric and quality is fantastic. Vibration is stronger than I expected too! Good luck.
  15. Can you add a "Fictional" building that is Covid-19 related? That way we can bomb it and release our frustrations?
  16. Crosswind certainly can be a very important factor. Don't forget about the rotational torque of the engine. For Example: Try flying straight and level at low RPM near 200 MPH. Slowly increase throttle and and see how plane starts to float to the left. Try the same by quickly increasing the throttle. (This probably explains why you don't want to be playing with the throttle when going in for a kill on a target. ) BUT: @burncpt since you mention it, maybe the Spitfire is pulling more to the left than it was last month.. Cheers.
  17. Thanks for the quick reply @pet333r. I have tried deleting the shader cashes, fresh video driver installs and DCS full repair. So far the only thing that is consistent with good results is increasing the value of ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval I will try some other things and eventually install the better i7 Processor in hopes that it will help make a difference. Cheers.
  18. Just played all the new sounds with VLC... Can't wait to download this weekend. I see the Mod moved over to WAV files and some crisper and more lively sounds. I even saw new seat height adjustment sounds -- lol nice!. Actually looking forward to see how the PlaneSpeedbrakeWind.wav file works because it is sitting outside of the Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts folder and I did not see a sdef file for it..
  19. Yep.... already added my key-bind change to the new version of the default.lua Cheers and thanks @Particleman
  20. Yes - look in the download file. ChangeLog_v1.0.1.txt
  21. Hi @Taz1004, I have seen this behavior a few times with the latest Shader Mods: It even took 30 and up to 40 minutes on my poor 4 core i5-3570K.. lol. What I do when I know my system has to rebuild the shader cache is open up the fxo folder in saved games and watch the files being slowly added. At the same time I watch DCS YouTube Videos on my other monitor. \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo - As long as new files with current Date modified time stamps are being added I know DCS did not hang. Cheers.
  22. Hello @Blueleaderand @pet333r: There is likely something more to this performance problem then the DCS UFC Export scripts. I was able to duplicate the performance and stuttering issues described. (Sadly) In summary: Last year, when upgrading from Windows 10 build version 1909, to 2004 I noticed DCS performance issues with FPS and stutter. I tired to trouble shoot a few things but backed out of the update because I was happy with the previous performance. Windows Build 1909 is end of life next month. I had little choice but to update to the latest Current OS Build 20H2. Before the update I have been running all versions of the DCS UFC scripts since last year with no performance problems. Other Observations: At the time of the Windows Updates my DCS Menu screens were running at 170 FPS or more. After updating to either Windows 10 2004 or 20H2 the FPS dropped to 64 FPS. (I am running Free-sync with no other framerate limiters used in the drivers and vsync is off in DCS) Frame drop at the DCS menu screens happened with or without DCS UFC or any other export scripts running. Try this: Today, as part of my trouble shooting I was able to get back most if not all of the performance and stutter free stability by changing the the export interval from 0.05 to 0.55. < Excerpt from : Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\pw-def_script\Config.lua > -- Other ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval = 0.55 -- export every 0.05 seconds -trouble shooting- was 0.05 - trying 0.55 or higher was an improvement! ExportScript.Config.ExportLowTickInterval = 0.1 -- export every 0.x seconds For me this is just an interesting result because it tells me that DCS, Windows and my AMD Graphics driver are having trouble with the small workload created by exporting date every 0.05 seconds. Other Comments: I am only running a 4 Core i5-3570K on my DCS machine. Maybe when I get "un lazy" I will install my spare i7-3770K. Perhaps the extra 4 threads can help Windows and AMD provide better GPU performance. The best thing to do would be a Fresh Windows 10 Install of Windows 10 20H2 and DCS to see if the problem still exists. (This is not an option for me at this time) Windows 10 21H1 is due for release in May. Maybe that update will solve whatever internal issues have caused this problem since Windows Build 2004 for me. Maybe @pet333rcan make some changes to the lua or scripts than can work around the DCS and Windows problem. Cheers.

    Windowed Mode

Have you tried reducing the resolution in the DCS Settings screen to something less than you primary display? For example I run DCS of of a 1440p Display. In the past if I selected 1920x1200 and deselected run in full Screen. I recall getting a window. I even remember doing an experiment where I ran DCS 2.5.6 and DCS 2.5 in windows side by side just to see if I could. Cheers
  24. Fantastic.. good luck with the update - I will download and install for sure when it arrives.
