They need to give the options in the software, locking us out of options isnt going to fly.

If you list a plain x52 profile and NOT the x52 pro profile. Do everyone a favor and give the link for the CORRECT old drivers to use. Or include the old drivers with your profile. In other words please dont contribute to the confusion that Saitek enjoys and likes to sit back and watch....still! Get to work, gents! I would really like to get away from the x52. But, I think the x52 is a great stick and many hear have made it better esp for Lock on. However I think the software is trash and I also think Saitek likes to confuse and torment even the smart ones with driver changes and profile changes. To this day It still isnt stated on thier main pages the simple changes that took place with the profiles. OK I need to stop before I really get to company bashing but damn how many games in the world are using the x52. Thats just really some bad support!!! OK :( For BS The x52 can even be fitted with a collective. I would have liked to see something done for this 940...... I would like to attach a stick to this throttle is I enjoy and get more into BS. I have to agree with the others that the centering detent being gone sounds lame brained and dum. Why must gamers get a great feature in something then later miss it in evolving tech changes? This happens too much!!! Again, you guys can make it all sound like solid gold. A product like the 940 has to carry the water and be everything we like and more or its just another failure.

this is incorrect, Overclocking and not knowing how to do it can cause an instable system. You can waste hours upon hours of your life recovering from a trashed OS and haveing to redo your LOMAC install and all the other mods and bla bla bla. Sorry, I have alot of repect for the bla bla bla but im in a hurry. If your into flight simming you need great quality hardware and a stable system. Some overclocking is great however you have to study the limits of other people and decide on a system that is PROVEN. 3.0 ghz is where I have been for a year on my setup in my sig. Its stable as a rock and works. I also use back up exec desktop version to insure I do not suffer the weeks of wasted time in my life restoring an OS and all the flight sim requirements. Just a word of warning from someone who knows better. Knows how to back it up too.

I dont know where else to do this so Ill say here. I would like to ask my governments military to please contribute a charity contribution to the flight sim community of ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO EAGLE DYNAMICS. This money shall be used to further the develoment of LOMAC...ONLY. Allowing ED to concentrate on their future. This is not a waste of money. However it is not for many. It is for the few and the proud ED supporters and admirers. We love you all!! Respectfully, a US citizen.

For the guys who still fly the jets I think thats the best example I have seen so far. BUT I still like URZE's collective and have a saitek throttle to dedicate to it. I would still like to see the finished thing and a bit or a write up from IVANK on how to use it that way, and maybe compare to the URZE collective????? Thank you!!

I dont recommend the saitek product. Too many problems from the start and then they dont work anymore.

WEll how can it be a cable!!!!!!!!! If everything works in the control panel but doesnt work in the game how can it be just a connection problem. ? Hell I can test mine in control panel, then gentley start to move it around in the game and NOTHING. I had the same problem, needing to pull out the cable then stick it back in and now the stick is just dead now. Will not work at all in the game but will test fine in the control panel. We need proof its a cable because I dont believe that. if it works in control panel, how can it be the cable?

Thats a bummer, i was kinda hopeing to be rid of Saitek. owell. I cant wait to see how that is all going to work out with CH stuff running and Saitek trottle running. This brings even more questions...esp about switching back and forth from black Shark and LOMAC. Owell I know I should just wait till the stuff gets here and then make some conclusions. However:) If anyone knows the traps I need to look out for, please dont forget me. Ill try to be getting back in to HL soon. If anyone wants to make me an offer on the Saitek x52 stick that operates very smoothly. It works in the control panel, all the buttons work but in the game, nothing. I have tried reinstalls and even tried on another computer and got same result. You pay shipping UPS in original box if you want or I can repack it. Sold as is too.

Well after 2nd saitek stick stopped working right I am going CH. So will have fighterstick, pedals, and throttle. I noticed WAGS uses these and i hope they are good. Need advice on how to get setup since I am so used to Saitek software. ALSO thinking about getting a collective from leftside-limited.com LATER. When I do get one should I save my still good saitek throttle for it or use it on the CH. I guess I could use on the CH I just dont want to get rid of the saitek yet incase I should be using it someday with the collective. I will be flying mainly jets and get into Black Shark slow. As time in the world permits!! Anyway if you guys can shed some light on my problem I would be very greatfull. Thank you! Oh CH setup is in the mail, I dont have it in front of me yet!!!

Besides that vista 32 hogs memory of about 650mb just doing nothing on a new reboot of TWO similar HP notebooks and that is with extra crap removed. A similar XP media center OS will use about 450mb on a start up with antivirus and crap removed. In addition to that moving around in the laptops OS is much more faster and responsive than trying to do anything in a vista laptop that has 1GB of memory. Now a desktop will have a faster harddrive and should have a more efficient motherboard, you will improvemnet with vista on a desktop but if your gaming you better have the 3 or 4 gb of memory. QUESTION? IS LOMAC being run in XP compadibilty mode in vista? Has anyone tried that and just pretend Vista isnt supposed to behave without taking some kind of action to force it?

Do you guys trust the new saietek software? I dont at all trust or think its worth messing around with, I base that on current new owners and feedback I have seen from old users. Theres too much negatives out thier about this company and thier stuff. Its been along time a product or company has pissed me off so much as they have. I can sit here and think Im totally to blame for not being up on the latest changes but I can assure I did enough work this time to at least provide a fair and working senario for Saitek in the last week and in the last several months. My decision is JUSTIFIED.

Well for 200 bucks I can go the cougar route......plus there is a detailed profile and instuctions all laid out by someone at cougarworld.com . I know something new will be worth it. For some reason.....why do I want a cougar???Better comunity support? I dont know why?

Well after confirming the stick does work at least without using the software etc etc I have decided to rescue myself from the time to time annoyances of this POS and rid my life of it for good!! Looking around on the internet no one seems happy with the software. I believe I saw a chipset conflict on my nforce 3 system. I dont know for sure but there just are too many people unhappy with it. Im going to buy a cougar Thrustmaster and use that Nicolas profile at cougar world. Im not risking a stable build with saitek crap again. No one else should either. Even though I have to learn a whole new setup it will be worth it in the long run!

Is it true that the newest drivers DO NOT use .dat profiles but require .pro profiles for the old x52 and new x52 pro ????????????

xp pro Same things for years. I think I might uninstall flaming cliffs , the dl portion and redownload it from the website. Might have a corrupt Flaming cliffs?

Thank you very to all. here is something wierd to think about I am thinking if i trash the freaking out stick, and go with a new thottle and stick I could dedicate my old x52 throttle to a collective for BS. Could it be possible to roll with TWO THROTTLES AND ONE STICK. Sounds like I could do this going the CH route......what about the cougar route? Keep in mind I want the option to jump into Flaming Cliffs or Black Shark at anytime I want.

negative on all. I did use the saitek tech uninstall procedure. No change. I have tried several profiles, same thing. Whatever, it used to work I didnt change the profile the only thing that changed were the drivers and then a new computer. I dont deserve this hassle. Still looking thanks for the ideas but I have tried them all.
