For the last few weeks I been casually exploring my plan of attack for an edit. However this is a new one on me. I hope to settle on a final plan this week. Its not a suprise that some pimple faced wanabee would post that. So what it had big problems from the start and UBI almost didnt release it. SO what, anyone can have perspective. Only a few get the big picture. I think any sim needs to be played and understood first before judgement. Sims require user work, money and learning, its not quake, its not unreal, its a computer based sim period Some age groups and people have a low attention span.

Yes a smarter question would be can Vista run LOMAC in XP compatibility mode, I would think yes. I can run Rainbow six Black Thorn in 98 mode on XP. Black thorn's engine was designed only for 98 so I would think yes .....however no one should care for another year anyway by choice.

Congrats I was also going to say keep in mind the render ahead thing with our nvidia cards. I have not yet confirmed this a good or bad thing with Lomac. Stock its 3 frames rendered ahead. This will cause the problem you describe in GRAW and crash . Anyone still playing GRAW should give it up BTW. its trash..

While the question is good another one with that should be will everything else you care allot about with Vista............the answer is most likely NO. I started useing XP this year. I dont see anytime soon ill be using VISTA.

for 20 years ......1957 custom regretfully she finds a new home in a couple weeks , my new one is a 2001 buell , soon she will find a friend with a new fxdwg. Know ye the kingdom of kicks, booze, bikes, LOMAC and chicks. And yes last year I wrecked the Buell into a bean field. Damn good thing your not into the Tom Clancy series. Now thats a big time fiasco there. LOMAC Hasnt even been sequeled yet .......:) Looking at this thread after looking at the Tom Clancy stuff thats NINE years old is a trip. UBisoft is blowing up a whole franchise not only with mistakes bugs and problems but with console porting and greed. I hate to sound like im defending somebody here but in comparison , I really cant see ED blowing up this sim now or in the future....... Its only been 3 1/2 years though :)

Its almost impossible to think BS will have a gamer a year from now complaining about an old game engine, but it might happen. Witchking is very right. When you live on the cutting edge BALANCE is the only thing that can save you. Even I know it would be many years before the current game is going to be dropped by players. Timing is everything on the edge isnt it? Hopefully the timing will be right when ED wants it too giving a proper base the next creation. Heres to continued success....cheers.

Planes and snakes?

no kidding , I did alot of tweaking and testing with my old 6600gt . There were things I did that would make LOMAC seem like it was running so smooth and faster with that card but it fell down when things got hairy or a crowded situation cam up. The thing just couldnt handle it. Only so much can go down a 128 bit bus memory highway. That card and the 9800 pro had 8 lanes or pipes. I was starting to believe....but the performance was just too inconsistant to continue with a 8 pipe line card to me. Its just not enough when things get crazy. Even though the memory was ddr3 which helped alot... major improvement over the 9800 pro.

Dont blow up our computers .................Please A good chance to request a easy way to turn on and off mods in LOMAC . For Example Ghost Recon 1 method. Activate and disable. Simple.
