There is a table of compatible weapons, use that?
-
For sight turning itself backwards, try telling Petrovich to close it before rolling more than 30 deg.
-
It has. According to you it has an impact of x0.5. I don't fly with zoom-eyes around, so it has larger impact to me, about 10 times.

His magical IFF? Try it on realistic and see how well it goes. Problem is, in all these examples here, you are looking at screen. In Hind, you have to look into periscope, you can't zoom in on it. You need to put your eye on it, that's just how it works IRL. Now, what we could ask for is to be able to lean into the scope, but trust me, it gets uncomfortable real fast.

need track replay Rudder Axis tuning - no effect

No wonder it feels different in Apache. SCAS is doing it's thing, sometimes it works for you, sometimes against you. Try to hold FTR and see how pedals behave -
OK, now I do understand what OP wants. I don't fly Gaz, so don't know how it's sight is working, but this would be completely unrealistic.

Well, you can't really compare Raduga's 10x with Apache's 127x for TV and 36x thermal (don't know the stats for the Shkval, but I figure it's more advanced). Are you asking for something completely unrealistic to level out the playfield? As for identifying, unless you go for easy IFF or whatever it's called, most of the times I can IFF quicker than Petro. In final score (accounting for IFF and guideance for LOS), semi competent multicrew is better than solo with Petro. Competent crew is just unbeatable.

Doesn't that negate an out-of-sight condition of the OP?

Isn't most dangerous range -4 to +4?
-
Well, it says it all on that photo. Most of the targets are around 2,5 m height mark, so when it fals between those line you have your range. Or to make it easier, once usual DCS target fills that vertical space between aiming prongs you are within range. Another way is to know width or length of certain targets and use other markings. For example, truck at 5000m mark should be the same width as that horizontal line on your sight. One thing to consider is that range can be up to 8000m if you fire at high speed, it's dependant more on the battery within missile itself(18 seconds) than the energy of the missile. You do not have to fire at exact 5000m to hit your target. Honestly, I find the best to use pilot to judge distance and tell you when to fire. With any experience, pilot should be able to judge distance within few hundred meters. You can also switch between magnifications to give you more perspective on range. If I have enough time, I would get off the sight to judge distance myself.

Again, are you flying Apache or MD500 in real life? If you don't, then all your ideas how it should behave are just guesses. Just like when people that have never even seen it in real life made their opinions how autopilot and trim release should work in Mi-24. If a real life Apache pilot like Brad says that's how it's supposed to be I tend to roll with his opinion.

Please tell us you did not try this in your own mission where you are the only unit on whole damn map?

OK. Well, only thing that comes to mind is to do a slow repair -

No, I mean what happens if you move your controls that you use for flying the helicopter? -

What happens if you move your joystick with George flying? -

LMC is used if either you or target or both are moving. That's not the issue. I tried it and only time it would start drifting is if I move TRK. Even with LMC off, it would still move, but not drift (well, it would drift with helicopter movement) if I moved TRK. Without touching TADS control, it stays on target no matter how rough I move the helicopter. Also, laser on or off does not affect it. -
If you know in which direction the targets are, you don't need George at all. WAS and fire
-
It can autorotate, just the risk is too high to do full down auto as a practice. As long as you can enter autorotation and keep RPM, you should survive the landing. Not to mention it's low probability to lose both engines and you also have sim for stuff like that.

Isn't control helper doing that?

I can't really tell, but make sure you do not have any double inputs or that you are not accidentally moving TADS. I took control and had no issues flying the helicopter myself and TADS staying planted on target. -

Your track requires A-10 II. -
closed for repated off topic DCS 2.9 AH-64 ATT Hold Not Working
admiki replied to AndreNL's topic in Bugs and Problems
And then you'll get bunch of whining "but, what is taking them this long? Why don't they release it anyway, this thing is unflyable right now!" -

It seems this is the case of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Give them some slack guys, it will be fixed.
