  1. Are you talking about heading and relative heading boxes? If yes, go to special settings/Mi-24 and uncheck AI hide boxes

    LADO A LADO

    Reported.
  4. Once N1 gets to 10% and you release the switch, it will hung a bit, but it will spool up. I think this is a bug. Unfortunately, flight manual only says to release start switch at 40% N1, doesn't say what will happen if you let go of it beforehand (I presume we will get EGT spike and cooked engine).
  5. Real life procedure is to keep throttle just bellow idle stop. Once N1 reaches 40%, you move throttle above idle stop and then back down to idle stop. Problem we have in DCS is that it does not recognise an axis until it is above idle stop (only explanation I could come up with is to prevent desync between physical axis and throttle in DCS). It should be noted that EGT rise is the same with IRL procedure.
  6. It's on your end. Bunch of us flying in all possible conditions without problems.
  7. If you fire just one rocket in hover you can see massive engine RPM spike on affected side. 2 or more will cause engine shutdown
  8. Did you try to remove whole saved games folder? And then do a repair. Even reinstalling the game will do nothing if saved games folder is preserved, since DCS first looks if that is available, regardless if it's new game or not. Also, make sure you don't have FFB checked in MISC settings. If it's checked, uncheck and try before removing saved games folder.
  9. Post track file, it works fine for me.
  10. If it's your mission, can you post a miz file here? if not, post a track file
  11. There is another thread about this. It turns out George is having issues hovering into/back to wind. If there is no wind or he is hovering 90 degs to the wind, stable hover. I confirmed this myself.
  12. 24 months was just a number. My point is I am happy to pay for it right now if ED gave us firm deadline
  13. I have noticed same control twiches when activating attitude hold
  14. If ED told us that it is firm 24 months out I would buy it right now.
  15. Wind can affect your groundspeed, but an aircraft does not know whether the air mass is moving or not, nor does it care. One thing that might affect you is your penetration speed due to turbulence caused by wind. The other is windshear, but that is momentary condition.
  16. #twoweeks Since we have no idea how advanced this project is, I am hoping for second half of next year, but only ED knows. And even then there might be slippages.
  17. It's buggy to say the least. We did a test, where server host was deaf and mute to the rest of us. Once one of the players got out, host was working fine. I wanted to test frequency/volume changes for the CPG, but after this we just gave up.
  18. It was there when Apache was released.
  19. So, it glares IRL too? What did I do now? Just joking, please don't ban me!
  20. I have never looked at real life Apache screen, but claims that there is no glare at all seem exagerated. I have never seen a screen that did not glare under right conditions.
  21. It seems ED just keep swinging from one extreme to the other. Some time ago there was a discussion among BSD (Black Shark Den) about Petrovich being a force multiplier. So, we did a test, both flying single and multicrew. We had to find and destroy 10 targets in a small town that were scripted to spawn randomly. Multicrew achieved better results. While AI is (was) better at finding targets, ID and guidance to the pilot to get LOS was way worse. Now, semi-competent multicrew seems to be the way.
  22. How much wind? I tested in 6 kts from multiple quadrants and while it did take longer to stabilize it held position after that
  23. Now it's more agressive to get you back to your initial point if you were not absolutely stationary when you engaged ATT hold. After that it's rock steady.
  24. Hmmm, I made sure that both roll and drift are zero. Since my stick stays in place I don't like to use trim hat since it causes disagreement betwen physical and DCS stick, but I usualy just hold trim release until all is where it is supposed to be. OK, this I did not know. That could explain it.
  25. As title says, if I engage route mode and set course (in this case 000), it flies heading of 006 on the HSI. When I press and hold trim release and change heading, once released, AP will now go to heading of 000 on the HSI. Behaviour observed in both cold and hot helicopter. AP heading.trk
