Do most of those familiar with AGM deployment on to moving targets tend to rely upon the auto handoff on the D and G models. I've been practising its use lately and I find that it's often easier to re-designate myself directly through the AGM seeker head as the TGP handoff does not see all that reliable. I have found that It does work from time to time but not always. And yes, I am correctly bore sighted.

I used to be able to rattle off 4 MAVS & nail 4 moving TGTS in one pass, just check out some of my YouTube Vids & you'll see that. Now after a few months & a few updates later I decided to revisit my good ole MAV. Now I can't even secure one Target. I have "Realistic TDC" option unticked as usual but can't seem to get my MAV Seeker to slew after pressing my Undesignate button. I'm in the Cyprus map & in a built up area. Is this a current bug or has the procedure changed recently? Any ideas anyone? Kind regards Gaz Update here: Pretty sure I got it now.. when you lock up moving TGT on right DDI with PTRK then switch to left DDI & making MAV Seeker as SOI. You then go back to right DDI & cancel the PTRK & this allows the Undesignate button ( or letter S on KB ) to enable Mav seeker slewing. Hi guys, it was probably been talked about in the past, but the kill radius of rockets are nowhere close to reality in DCS. Eagle Dynamic really should do something about this. As an example, the HUGE S-24, which as an explosive charge of 271 pounds and a proximity fuse that will make it explode a 10 feet over the ground has a kill RADIUS of 300-400 meters!!!! (984 to 1312 feet). If the stats in wikipedia are true, that makes that thing extremely powerful against soft target! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-24_rocket Playing around with that monster rocket this week made me realize how weak it is in the game ... barely scratching infantry that are close by. Because of this and their weight, it is a lost of time to carry these around. Am I the only one who thinks that the rockets kill radius should be revised? It seems odd that such an important stat seems overlooked while so much efforts are put on corner case missile path trajectory.

Hi all pilots. I've been playing DCS for a long time since Lock ON. The producers are to be congratulated, without a doubt the best simulator. Yes there is always something to improve as the "flir", a full functional f-15, it's time to get the f-22 which is quite old. It flew for the first time on September 7, 1997. Let's go to the part that was in doubt. My radar always worked well my frags were always good until the arrival of f-16 =P My TWS radar worked perfectly and stealthily as it should. After a while it has been losing the lock, ok the f-16 is small and fast, but it answers me because the radar works perfectly on the JF-17 which are naturally a copy of the f-16. Playing of course in multiplayer mode. I don't know if it's server lag it can even be, yesterday I was losing sight at 10~15 mn, from an f-16, I could see it with the naked eye, but my radar couldn't see it right.... strange that the radar is even detecting my aim-120c going to the targets, but when the missile tws link is lost the missile goes in vain.... Some online players told me to set the target size to "large" in s"tores" so that the missile becomes active faster. But if we're talking about being stealthy, we want the target not to detect our missile too far away from it, we want the missile to practically sneak up to it. (until today I don't know if there's how to configure the missile for this, after time it becomes active and detectable) Anyone out there to share some kind of radar improvement?

I know the basic concepts. I'm flying the a F16 mission, I don't remember if I downloaded it or if its one that comes with the F16. I have several enemy contacts from the data link, they are between 40 and 60 nml from me, the AWACS gives their altitude, I put the scan at 30 and move my rader altitude to cover that hight, yet I don't get a plane on my own radar, it says only as a AWACS contact for a very long time, only getting on my own rader when it's like 25 miles away.

I played my first online game today, just a silly coop with a friend us in 2 F16s vs 8 MiG21. When I go into dogfight mode, my plane locks on to targets just fine, but I then try and unlock it, either with TMS right or down(tried both) after that that Sidewinders refuse to lock on, no mater how long I keep the plane in the HUD, no mater what type of tracking I'm using or using the helmet, I can keep the plane in the round target area in my helmet all day, and it won't lock on. I also can't get my AMRAAMS to lock on through the hud, I can lock enemies fine with the MDF, but can't get a lock on with just the hud.

im trying to learn cpg (very slowly!!) and iv got the gun selected (dotted) got the tads facing the target, master arm on. sometimes the gun will fire others it wont and i have idea why. the range is showing man 3000 (3km?) . i thought you changed it by boxing it then typing a and enter on the keypad? that does nothing, what am i doing wrong? -

Hi, On my end it looks like the monocle is not going over some of the MPD pages; visual effect. On black background pages (engine, etc..) it feels like the monocle fades away and the page comes out on the edges. No VR, graphics high and 1024 frame. -
Hi all, wondering if anyone has had problems with their HMCS vanishing whilst in a air to ground attack alternating from CCIP to CCRP delivery or just disappearing regardless of what their doing. Lately it's been happening quite frequently to me, I don't have a Track File but I do have a recording. I turn it on prior to CCIP delivery of CBU97 & then after the delivery & external views of weapon to target & enemy units being blown up it vanishes, then when I turn the HMCS dial off & back on to try & retrieve it, doesn't work. Anyone ideas?

I am struggling with acls. I get to the point when 6 miles out I get the correct call out from carrier. At 5 miles I push couple on auto pilot. The plane starts a gradual ascent, I do not get p/r symbology. Just distance to carrier lower right of hud. If I take control then the cpl p r flashes. Like it was deactivated. However it was not activated because the plane kept getting higher. I was on speed and had auto throttle engaged at Round 145 knots. Once I take control and center up the needles I try again and it won't engage. I hand fly it in. Other times I get p and r on hud but when I couple the autopilot it still won't engage. I have watched several you tube videos and I'm doing what they are doing, but I must be doing something wrong cause it won't work for me. My fuel state is about 40 percent full. I make small corrections. I even wait till I'm about 3 miles from carrier and still the acls autopilot will not engage. I wish there more indepth videos explaining the process and why and what to do if it won't work and how much tolerance you can be off for it to still work.

Hi, This one is driving me mad. I spent hours on it, I don't understand. 50% of the time, when I cold start the A-10, and put Scorpion HMCS from Off to On (or Batt). Nothing happens. Not even the "trace" of the helmet screen. The rest of the time, it powers up normally. I really don't understand why it works sometimes and sometimes not. Can someone help me ? Aigle2

Wondering flying in dcs liberation campaign I'am not getting any targets at all in my sa page, although in other missions if i make them myself i have no issues. So was wondering is this a dcs liberation bug in the mission itself -
I've been looking at all the great tutorials that so many have posted on YT and I've been trying to get better at the weapons systems. I've especially had issues with air to ground targeting and now I think I know why but I'm not sure what to do about it. I was watching a YT video today about using the AGM-65 IR Mavericks on the AV-8B Harrier. I would go through the exact procedure again and again but I could never get the Tpod or the Mavericks to lock onto a target. Then it dawned on me what I was missing... an IR signature. In the videos, whether white hot or black hot, their targets were always lit up and easily detectable. My targets aren't lit up at all. In white hot, targets are white. In black hot, targets are black. No IR signature at all. And these are moving targets; tanks and other such mobile artillery. So I'm making sure I'm in IR mode, etc and wondering what's up... and I see an AI vehicle go driving by my target, and it's glowing like a light bulb. Why are my targets missing a heat signature? I am going into the mission editor and creating a very simple mission; a Harrier with four IR AGM-65's taking off and flying up to an island that has four BTR-80's or T-90 tanks. I assign a waypoint to their location, and I assign some waypoints to the targets so they can be slowly moving. But my targets are always cold. No heat signature at all. What am I missing?

I have placed some SA-15s out in the field in mission editor. MY f16 RWR does not show them at all or give me any kind of warning. When I play the Syria map gauntlet it shows the SA15 and when a missel is fired I am getting all kinds of warnings. What am I doing wrong? Am I forgetting to turn something on?

In a downloaded mission (ISIS Camp) i'm in cpg seat and in a hover. Sliding slowly towards the right side of a tiny valley. Use "slide left" to get in a better position: "Coming left" That goes painfully slow, and mostly backwards. Does George not know how to compensate for a draft in the air? I had to "take the wheel" myself in order to get to the position I wanted. Also, further down same valley, but now facing the opposite way; still drifting right. The wind had not changed direction

I have been having issues with CPL mode not enabling after dropping JDAMS. (Most likely I'm doing something wrong, lol) I select the Waypoint STORES - into the JDAM page - set to TOO and get ready to capture COORDS I go into the HSI and click WPDSG Confirm COORDS updated in STORE page for JDAM I fly to the target - employ my weapon Switch to my outbound waypoint Look at HSI - click WAY to box it Click A/P, CPL, but the | next to it doesn't appear and I can no longer get it to turn to waypoints. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? It's almost as if the flight computer is stuck in TGT mode even though it's not.

Seems to be missing. Been a while since I last flown the Hornet, so obviously missing something important here in the cockpit obviously... AG master mode/Guns selected/MA Armed/CCIP...at this point, shouldnt the pipper be displaying on the HUD? Need a refresh on my memory here, what did I miss? -
Hey Guys, I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I'm having issues with the Rotor RPM, obviously you can see the rotors RPM on the MFD, but I can't seem to get it to hold in the green. I'm constantly getting a warning stating that the Rotor RPM's are either high or low, more often than not they're high. It seems like regardless of what I do with the throttle/collective I can't get them to hold in the green. I'm still working on getting everything mapped out on the TM Warthog, but this is the biggest issue I'm facing at the moment.

When with George Rockets in COOP the I-beam doesn't move at all. IDK why, happened only once to me
