Installation Problem

Hi all,

I have just purchased product DCS UH-1 H, but I have got installation problem. At the morning I updated DCS world, but later I bought Huey. I tried to install it, but with this message:

Can´t install UH-1H 1.2.4.11855 into newer DCS world 1.2.4.12179. Please, download UH-1H 1.2.4.12179.

Problem is, that I culdn´t find that newer installer. I bought this product, but I didn´t expect this problem. It´s really sad for me.

use the module manager,

or downgrade back, then install huey, then re-apply update.

Start, search, CMD (Command Prompt), Open Command Prompt

Type: CD\

ENTER Key

Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\

ENTER Key

Type: dcs_updater.exe update :1.2.4.11855

ENTER KEY

Updater Reverts to 1.2.4.11855.

Install Huey,

then goto start menu, Eagle Dynamics, DCS, DCS Update to re-apply update.

AFAIK you have to install it via the module-manager, available in the main menu, until they put the last version on their website.

I didn´t know, that something like module manager in DCS exists :D

At now, I am downloading update via module manager, so I hope, that all will be OK.

I am happy for another sollution too, because I had many problems with updates in past, and information, that DCS can be downgraded is very useful for me. Many thanks

Module Manager was new with 1.2.4 (or was it 1.2.3?...)

Any improvement in the SU-27 cockpit with the canopy glass change? I have not yet gotten a chance to test this new patch.

Heat blur bug just been found and fixed in the dev version.

Isn't heat blur always seen on jet aircraft IRL? I mean even without AB...I have seen a big sized heat blur in many vids and pictures.

BTW....module manager now still shows "INSTALL" button for already installed modules..is it a bug? or needs more WIP to clean it up?

Did anyone else have to go back into their user-created missions and edit the start time/date of the units? After the update all of my missions started me off in a free camera staring at Anapa. When I went into the ME my flight and other units had the correct start time, but wrong start days, like day 324. I had to change them all to day 1...

There seems to be an issue with the canned UH-1H takeoff training mission. It works fine up to the point of throttling up. Once the engine/RPMs get to their standard values however the mission does not continue ... just seems stuck at that point. I've tried the mission multiple times and tried throttling down and then back up to max (slowly, and also quickly). Even took off and landed and then tried to cycle the throttle again. No go. Anyone else having that problem on that mission?

I think it just takes a long time to register the RPM as stable. IIRC that's the last step, though, so go ahead and take off :)

I let it sit there a good amount of minutes so I don't think that was the issue. The instruments showed both the readings were exactly what they needed to stabilize at in just a few moments. I was just wondering if anyone else has managed to get past that point in that mission.

I have. I flew around for 10-15 minutes before the instructor went on to the next stage.

it is difficult to find out what each patch is updating, with new patches every few days or week... I suppose the log files will show what's in the patches each patch ??
