Check 2.9.4 version Vaziani Airbase on Caucasus map, the HAS has "old" versions, no the new HAS show on other airbases as Anapa, Krasnodar, etc. That make some strangle artifacts with cast shadows. Add mission and track. Vaziani HAS: Senaki HAS: Vaziani_HAS_Problem.zip -
Hi While creating a streamdeck profile for the Mi-24, I found a small bug with the ARK U2 on/off. The keyboard binding does the on/off sequence in a once. Thanks

DCS Version: DCS Open Beta 2.7.7.14727 Brief description of bug: Clouds currently only cast shadows on terrain, but not onto water. Expected behaviour: Clouds cast shadows on all surfaces including water. To reproduce: 1) Mission with clouds set in daytime. 2) Observe lack of shadows on water. This: (in game screenshot) Should look more like this - note the continuation of the terrain cloud shadow into the ocean, as would be expected (quick mockup in GIMP) Why is this important: Cloud shadows serve an important function from both a graphical and gameplay perspective. The graphical function is fairly self explenatory - because shadows are cast on both terrain and water in real life, it will naturally look more authentic. The gameplay function perhaps not as much: shadows help break up the monotonous ocean surface, allowing for more accurate interpretation of altitude/distance. This has been partly improved already through the addition of the improved water shaders in this open beta update. However, with the addition of cloud shadows casting onto the water surface, this will be singifcantly enhanced, further enhancing the naval environment within DCS.

MP track from a testing session with some friends. Somehow the SA-6 symbology gets stuck to the edge of the HAD page, no matter the range scale. the dashed line of #1 ends at the location of the SA-6 but for me it was always stuck at the edge of the display. Even when nobody was commanding TDOA anymore, the symbol remained stuck in place despite changing direction Unsure how to relably replicate however. Hello All. I believe I have found a error in the scheduling for the FCS. As you will see in the track I provided, performing the loop when I achieve less than or equal to 270kts, I immediately loss a G. Then on the backside of the loop after hitting around 360kts, the jet added the G back. At first I thought this was just due to the alpha ramping up and down but I was incorrect. I decided to do a horizontal turn to confirm my theory and yes, after 270 knots decelerating I noticed a drop in G and alpha. You can see this in the track. I have shown my controls indicator to show that I am not moving the stick at all during this test. Now what leads me to think it is a scheduling error is that if I speed up over 270kts but do not exceed 360kts, it does not have this weird behavior. My guess is that there is a hard edge in the schedule which is causing a rapid transition. I could be wrong about it being a scheduling error, but it's a starting place to investigate. Hello, Lua datamines show that the current AIM-9M and AIM-9X damage values are different. Damage: 25 for AIM-9M, 21.25 for AIM-9X (refer to AIM_9.lua line 5 and AIM_9X.lua line 5, respectively) Explosive Mass: 10 for AIM-9M, 8.5 for AIM-9X (refer to AIM_9_Warhead.lua line 7 and AIM_9X_Warhead.lua line 7, respectively) Piercing mass: 2 for AIM-9M, 1.7 for AIM-9X (refer to AIM_9_Warhead.lua line 11 and AIM_9X_Warhead.lua line 11, respectively) I cannot claim to know how their real-life damage values (if quantifiable) translate to DCS, however they should be the same. My sources: "The missile retains the AIM-9M warhead, fuze, and rocket motor." DCS-MT version 2.9.4.53627 . This issue probably affects propellers with any number of blades but is most noticeable with 2-blade propellers. Steps to reproduce: - Start DCS MT in VR - Look at a running Yak-52 (2-blade model) from the front, outside - Pause the simulator - Close one eye, then the other, and notice the propeller in the two views are 90 degrees out of phase. This is very confusing for the brain, simulation paused or running... For my mod, I currently specify 4 blades as workaround. The phase issue is still there but at least both eyes see the same image. Tried with both a Kilo class and the Type 093. Even at a depth of 115 feet, both subs still leaving large, distinct wake on the surface. Edit to add this is on the PG Map. Haven't experimented with other maps yet.

For whatever reason, the issue has solved itself. The only thing I could come up with is the hardpoint switch needs to be turned on "after" the TGP is loaded on the jet, and not before. -
Hi, I was working on a mission with multiple target and JTAC appearing randomly, but it seems that I am unable to contact the JTAC since the 2.9.4.53627 Hot fix. In the meantime, I start the mission from zero, but I am still not able to contact the JTAC! If I try the ATC, it works. I made a repair without success. Anybody have the same problem or have an explanation ? Mission and track in attached (Syria - F/A-18C - no mod). Before today's update, everything in my game was normal, but after updating open beta version 2.8.6.41363, the screen will freeze for about 1 to 2 seconds every few tens of seconds in VR mode. This is frustrating and I don't know what the problem is. My system is windows11 , the processor is intel i7 12700H, and the graphics card is 4060ti I'll just put the log here dcs.log -
I have been trying to track down the cause of an irritating stutter, in my large missions. The stutter is metronomic...like a pulse. Reducing the complexity and number of units helped...with my system 1500 +_ total units is the limit for me. The cause of the Stutter would appear to be the CIVIL TRAFFIC. The moment my system gets loaded...civil traffic causes horrible stuttering. So...on all missions its now OFF...and they smooth as silk.

I noticed that the MFD for using the agm65 in the A-10A seems to suffer a flicking effect if you use cockpit in-panel view to faceplant into the mfd as opposed to simply looking down at it with mouse or headtracking and zooming in. In the later case there is no flicker, but if you go numpad0 + numpad6 to cockpit in-panel view on the mfd i see a constant flicker or flash. If this track doesn't show it then perhaps it's just my hardware or graphics drivers. EtA: I'm using the standalone A-10A modules rather than the FC3 bundle, if that matters. MavMFDflicker.trk

I have buttons bound in the options for the seat height adjustment up and down and when I press them the switch is animated backwards and forwards in the cockpit, but the seat doesn't move.

Hello, I was unsure if this was a feature but the ABRIS sometimes comes into the state where it is not usable anymore. This happens on different occasions, either pve missions or pvp servers with different amounts of ground units on the map. After asking some people on the official ED Discord, it seems to be something that is not a issue for everyone. Here is a video: I hope for a easy fix Thank you -
Just updated to latest version today and the mouse cursor is now black and nearly impossible to see I can't find where to change the color back to white.
