golfsierra2 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Time is running. On the kickstarter page, it was stated that "If we are funded at the basic tier, we will work to have the project finished within 12 months." kind regards, Raven.... Grim_Smiles Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I really don't expect them to make the deadline, and this isn't a bash on them. There were a lot of things out of their hands that they weren't able to foresee (EDGE still being in development). I wouldn't have my heart set on a fall release for DCS WWII. "Hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky; With hideous ruin and combustion down; To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire" (RIG info is outdated, will update at some point) i5 @3.7GHz (OC to 4.1), 16GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 970 4GB, TrackIR 5 & TrackClip Pro, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder Mk.IV, Razer Blackshark Headset, Obutto Ozone

fastfreddie Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I'll be happy if we have Dora, 109, P47 in beta by then much less finished.
MACADEMIC Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 And at the current rate in October I can celebrate 1 year of not getting the promised P-51 keys. Yay!
USARStarkey Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) I really hope they release the planes as they are finished instead of making us wait till the whole bloody thing is done. Edited May 22, 2014 by USARStarkey [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Weed Be gone Needed

leafer Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 If it is EDGE that is stalling them, perhaps RRG can just release the fighters into the current DCSW? ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Charly_Owl Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 If it is EDGE that is stalling them, perhaps RRG can just release the fighters into the current DCSW? A fair point, given the fact that they already released screenies in current DCSW engine. Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon
USARStarkey Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 The release date of any DCS project can be demonstrated as a function when Y is equivalent to actual time to complete, and X is equivalent proposed time to complete. This is written as: f(Completion time)=2(Proposed Time) No offense to devs intended. I know there are good reasons for delays, I'm just kidding around here. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Weed Be gone Needed

javelina1 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 maybe we can extract that counter template, and have it export to a 2nd display monitor... that way, we can keep a near real time status update, whilst in our sims.... MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control

Mango Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 At least it's a reasonably hypothetical theatre for WWII. :)
ED Team NineLine Posted May 28, 2014 ED Team Posted May 28, 2014 sure, why not... and what about the wwii ground units and hardware ? so far we saw ZERO about that... :( We saw one or two tanks in the works I thought... Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
ED Team NineLine Posted May 28, 2014 ED Team Posted May 28, 2014 yea.. and what about such things like the flak gun ? it won't come out of no where just like that, there is some ballistics modeling / coding work that needs to be done within the core of DCS .. And you want them to report on the coding they are doing or have done? Ilya probably knows what a WWII sim needs in it. I think its same to assume he knows about flak guns and what is required.
