Hey guys! Been stalking the forums and your website long enough to start noticing that some of your banner pictures there show the P-38. Is that something that is down the pipeline that will be added to the WW2 set since VEAO and ED(RRG) is also doing some old birds? Looking forward to that 21!

No one has said anything about developing one as far as I know, but I would love to see a late model like the P-38L more than almost any other WWII aircraft.

The P-38 was a follow old RRG plans on the KS, not sure if ED has "reserve" them.

I personally would like to see a P-47, because dem 8 .50 cals and dat bomb load. And I'm not even a fan of A-G.

But in my opinion, I don't think we're going to see one by Leatherneck. Seeing as they're a Hungarian(?) company, odds are these are the guys who will be spitting out most of DCS's flyable soviet airframes.

But the P-47D-30 is already being made.

If they make a P-38, it needs to be an L so it can compete with the other planes in the game date wise. Also, it better clock in at 443mph, not that crap 414 thats always quoted because of the tests being done at military power.

Glad to have a stalker! :D

We haven't announced our next project(s) (even though they are now quite far along). Stay tuned for info after the MiG-21 has arrived.

@Everyone else: It's an -L.

It wouldn't have been partially implemented at VEAO's showcase at Duxford in September last year would it? Swore I saw a P-38 on the DCS main menu when they were setting it up... :music_whistling:

I'm sure it wasn't anything to do with you, of course. :D

Wow, I'm really happy I asked about this lol. Any chance you could shed light on when the next update is going to happen? If not, that's fine. Keep up the great work!

I would rather another dev makes the P-38, and leatherneck keeps making Vietnam/Cold war fixed wing jets

No, it means exactly what he said, UH-60L :thumbup:

I would buy the p-38l if they made.
