Do you think it is possible to release it in late July together with Sabre?

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2105905&postcount=19

As has been stated repeatedly, these modules are from 2 different companies and the release dates have absolutely nothing to do with each other..

So with that in mind, no..

Unless everyone wants every module put on hold until the release of EDGE (Whenever the Heck that might be.)

But I sincerely doubt this crowd would be able to stomach that idea what with the daily "Are we there yet" threads...

Yeah, thought something was a bit off. I like the raised canopy of the Sukhoi barrelfighters.

What are those probes on the wings?

You guys are hard to fool :) It's a Su-9

I'm doing some in-depth reading about russian aircraft currently, it's always interesting to find aircraft I haven't heard of yet!

I think you will find that the release dates for 3rd party modules have more in common that you have led us to believe.

After all , the devs of the Mig stated last week, that everything is DONE and yet no release, Perhaps just perhaps because ED is controlling the release.

I don't want to sound like I am starting a fight with you but the dev's said that the basic development is done but they also clearly stated that there are integration and QA tasks still being worked on, at no point did they ever say that that "everything is done".

Look, I am very eager to get my hands on this module, I have been for it's entire (announced) development and while I would love to see it soon, I also know that there is nothing that I can personally say or do to expedite the development, no matter how much I wish I could.

It seems that the release date is somewhat outside of Leatherneck's control at this point, ED has to do it's part to make sure everything is working properly and as such, it hopefully won't be long and we will all be flying the MiG and having fun.

Not before the Sabre and possible neither the Dora.

It was said "likely a livestream on Friday (4th)" - doesn't mean there will be one so best not to get your hopes up

Is this a theory or something you have heard from reliable channels?

As I mentioned in the other thread: Update within a week, promo copies going out next week, and likely a livestream on Friday (4th).

Don't worry about the naysayers mate. Unfortunately it's the culture of this forum but the best thing to do is ignore them.

It's very funny, how everyone, who has something negative to say on this forum is "stamped" naysayer, hater etc... Of course it's a culture of forum, because that's what the forum is about. Different opinions and point of views. Of course people will be disappointed and sad, they are not gonna get their module in time or anything else and maybe someone will write it on forum. And suddenly everyone is like "HOW DARE YOU!!!???". This is forum and You must be 100% positive about everything or You will be the outcast and hated forever. And I haven't seen anyone to be offensive or something. I think developers are ok with this, because they know, if You want to post on forum, You will deal with positive and with negative opinions. They are creating very complex things, so there will always be bugs and problems, people will report, there will always be someone, who doesn't like, they are postponing release etc. So what is the problem with naysayers? Sometimes You like something and sometimes You don't.

This. You can be exited about the MiG and not be a bandwagon fan. Edited by Hans-Joachim Marseille

Actually what is funny, (well not really it is kind of sad) is that people like you believe what you are saying. This forum is filled with posts that are well thought out and state shortcomings and issues that need to be addressed, but they are respectful, thoughtful and meaningful posts. The "Naysayers" as you like to name them are identified as such by the fact that they complain about things that have perfectly reasonable causes, have been addressed by the devs ad nauseaum and yet people still bring up the same complaints over and over. Once an issue has been identified and addressed, responsible forum members stop complaining about it because more noise DOES NOT HELP.

There is no conspiracy here that says you can't state shortcomings or that you have to be glitter encrusted unicorn lovers.. But if you don't want to be labeled as a "naysayer" then post responsibly and respectfully..

Just because you are disappointed does not give you free reign to say anything you want and expect to not be called on it..

How about everyone try being adults and let's wait patiently... I promise you that complaining about the same things day in and day out and asking "Is it done yet" on an hourly basis will NOT get the work done any quicker..

Thank's Cobra!

The majority of people who make some horrific criticism don't know anything about how it's hard to make a plane in DCS...

We have take 6 months with CombatAce to make out only a 3D model of 33 (6 months to make a correct pilot for me...)

So imagine the work for a DCS plane, flight model, 3D, textures, animations, cockpit, programming...

Leatherneck guys are great in my opinion because they make alive a dead project and respect backers.

Keep up the good work, i'm really patient, look like a VRS Tac-Pac wait, but if it work nice at the end :)

outlawal2, in fact Rabbit talks about this people and is not Rabbit that names them "Naysayers" (actually it was J7G). People that write "respectful, thoughtful and meaningful posts" but not perfectly in line with "thank you sirs! yes sirs!".

If you write a post in a forum, you open yourself to constructive criticism. And this is absolutely valid also for the developers.

But this is what you said.

Furthermore, you can't blame them for the anxiety that's been built up. As well meaning as LN is, it feels like a carrot on a string at times.

For me, the release of Fishbed has cut too close with Sabre. Which ever is released first gets my purchase while the other waits for a sale.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
