RyroNZ Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Yes, I was on the release drivers prior to these ones. It's possible a SLI profile was added that may affect DCS?
blackbelter Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the information! Very encouraging! Is this new driver a beta? I am not home yet. Need to check it out. Edited September 19, 2014 by blackbelter

Monkatraz Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Driver is giving really bad freezing (as far as I can tell). Gonna go back to 340.52. It seems while I was using it though it had no effect, so it probably doesn't matter. EDIT: My card is a GTX780 btw.
blackbelter Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 It felt pretty much the same as it was under 340.52. Around 35 FPS in the cockpit on the ground. Now I am looking forward to the next update to Mig-21Bis...
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I've seen a 10 FPS increase with my GTX770 Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
Art-J Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I've seen a 10 FPS increase with my GTX770 Same here, more or less, on GTX780. I didn't expect improvement on this old rendering engine, but it's there. Although I admit my previous drivers were quite outdated (335 series). Anyone who has forgotten about updating their NV drivers for a few months, should give these new ones a try. Every few frames/sec will help! i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

Every few frames/sec will help! Actually, it might be even more than that. I ran my own benchmarking mission of a take off from a busy airport under instrument conditions and rated between 50 and 60 constant. Reformers hate him! TurboHog Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Did see some improvement I think. But FPS is not nearly as good as that of the Mi-8, let alone a less complex cockpit such as in the Huey... 'Frett'
akuzmenko Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I have installed those 344.11 drivers and during installation blue screen of death appears with some dll errors.. Windows 7 didn't even started after restarting pc. Only same blue screen on every startup. Luckily I managed to start Windows 7 in the safe mode and reinstalled the old version drivers. After that everything works ok. Very strange... Never had such problems with installing new graphic card drivers. I have a GTX 570 card. Be careful with those drivers.
Eldur Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Yes, I was on the release drivers prior to these ones. It's possible a SLI profile was added that may affect DCS? That could be it. I've heard they added a SLI profile for Il-2 BoS, so it might be they added one for DCS and some other sims as well. not a chance that it would happen with AMD...... Sad but true :( Let's wait for EDGE... ;)
