SkateZilla Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Is Wags talking about blocking bugs for the NTTR map, or DCS World 2? They could release DCW2 before they have finished NTTR, right? ED Team NineLine Posted June 2, 2015 ED Team Posted June 2, 2015 The fact DCS 2.0 is out of ED`s hands and into private people`s (Testers) could only mean an imminent (months at most) release. and moving this thread to DCS sub forum pretty much makes this a fact. i`m so pleased. Out of ED's hands isn't quite right, they are just getting a larger sampling now, and more eyes, its just the next step in testing. MemphisBelle Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 thats sounds great...thanks for the update Wags.. As its getting closer...how exactly will it work to get a hand on NTTR if I used to be an A-10C Beta purchaser? Is DCSW2 automatically scanning my keys and unlocking NTTR for me then? They havent said, but I imagine you will get a key for NTTR somehow, maybe similar to the keys for DCS WWII stuff. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
T_A Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 A bit off topic (well regarding today`s news) , but is ED in contact with AMD / NVIDIA regarding optimized driver support for DCS 2.0? i`m asking because lately AMD is really dropping the ball with drivers lately for new AAA titles and i`m a bit worried about it. (see the Witcher 3 release this month for example) Was it not just the hair thing in the witcher3? I have a 970 and can run on ultra settings and provided I cap the frame rate at 55 it never drops below that, even if i drop to med/high it still can't maintain 60 but drops to 56 which causes stutter. Turn on the hair and the whole thing turns to crap pretty quickly ! Thankfully no hair in DCS, or is there?................... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

(see the Witcher 3 release this month for example) It's not so much ED needing to be in contact with AMD or Nvidia. Neither wanted to optimize their drivers for Dx9 games anymore. Now that DCS W2 will be going DX11+ we, as a community, should see more support come our way. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT

I really hope this doesn't happen and they allow everyone to test NTTR. The A10C beta purchasers are already getting NTTR for free, so I don't see a reason for anymore perks when everyones waited so long for this. I hope they just release it to everyone because what difference will it make to anyone? I'm sure the A10C beta purchasers will be happy they just got it for free.

While I agree that the A-10C beta purchasers will be happy they just get it for free I feel they should be entitled to an "Alpha" for a period of time...not too long hopefully, but this promise has been in place for them some time now. Let ED honor them at least. I will be glad to get DCSW 2.0 hopefully at the same time NTTR is made available for Alpha and explore it because it sounds like it will be plenty loaded with goodies and enhancement to explore for some time. Rangi Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Hmmmmm, is there a pre-sale for NTTR map soon I wonder? pre-sales are usually within a couple of weeks of release, heres hoping for that announcement soon:). It will be interesting to see how they price the new map. I wonder if it will be the same as an aircraft module? PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
