I declare current 2.0 state a total fail. MiG-29S, Su-27 and 33 unplayable. None to 99% transparent HUD. Effectively eliminating HUD for pilot. Veeeery annoying, I was really excited for tonight, now this, can't even fly a SINGLE of my 4 modules I would fly tonight. ED, wow.

So you didn't know about rctrl+rshift+h to increase the HUD brightness?

well it is fine if you are happy, but friday night will be Nellis night, every friday night from now on.

 

To report something "broken" - many things in early alpha are, just not what you mentioned - and get a proper reply and then say "I know" and just be dissapointed that the game doesnt meet your "startup expectations" is just incredibly ridiculous, mate. :doh:

Something wrong with the Ka-50's in your NA mission (Blue side). Can't lift off with normal weapons load.

Mission will feature 4 AWACS per side till lights out with Weapon Restrictions.

 

No AMRAAM, R-77 or R-27ET.

 

R-27ER is allowed!

We will look in to this for Friday coming mate, think its probably too much fuel for the altitude.

Thanks. Lifts off perfectly with the same load on single player from same ramp :thumbup: May be something with the German Ka-50? :P Could have been something with my stick at the time also, had some strange things happening since NTTR 2.1 :(

I was flying the A-10C and made sure to lightly load my airframe to maintain performance in those conditions. The KA-50s spawned at Nellis on the ramp right? If so, you should just do a rolling takeoff rather than try to hover IGE/OGE. However, I'd strongly suggest at least slightly lightening your loadout to increase your survivability.

Fixed Operation Backfire Red AWACS,

 

Bug was stopping the 3rd Red AWACS from spawning, this has now been fixed and Red Force pilots should find their AWACS working properly now!

30C in Vegas is to much for the Citation I fly in real life. No climb performance.

Any update on player export for us Sim Shakers users?

Any reason why the livery selection menu was disabled? Players can't pick the other teams livery because both sides use different countries anyway.

 

It's a shame because MiG-29S and Su-27 for example have a large amount of liveries, but we are stuck with the default MiG one and can't change the Flanker.

Was flying today morning, We killed the awacs, not sure which one it was, was 4hours into the mission, didnt get message when it died, also no new awacs respawned.

 

Was backfire ER, not sure if it was the last one its not supposed to give a message or if that is a bug still.

104th have their own skin for 104th players only so I guess that may have something to do with it.

:/ hopefully this doesnt turn players away. I really enjoy your high player counts.

 

EDIT: I do enjoy SARH missions, but i imagine alot of people only get the kills they do because of the 120. Lower performance may result in people taking a break from DCS.

Can the Red F-5s be Iranian or some other country? Just to spice things up a bit and make them more real?

On the subject of KA-50 performance, I did some testing with a FARP placed at the same location as in the mission, at 30C, 29.92 and no wind.

 

Looks like you need to keep under 24000 lbs weight to be able to take off effectively. That's 80% fuel or so with the standard KA-50 loadout. I made sure I could take off with dust protection engaged, and no power set limit indications during my takeoffs.

 

Do note: You'll have to fly IGE off the FARP and gain about 30-40 kph before you will be able to climb OGE. However, if you back yourself up on the FARP pad, and then roll off the FARP pad into your climb you should have no problems getting off the ground. You could even manage this with a heavier load nearer to 24500-25000 lbs, but it requires you to be 'on the numbers' with your controls.
