Cobra847 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 is leatherneck sims going to post the new monthly update on the first of the month? Once during each month. We'd like to keep it semi-fluid so that we can decide to delay a week or two to finish any ongoing milestones before updating. Thus; updates are far more juicy. That said -- as early as possible is preferable. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/

The mig-21 was my saviour for 2014 and delivered you did. I am looking forward to the air tractor. It really was more than that, still. It's set a new standard in fidelity. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
Golo Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 It really was more than that, still. It's set a new standard in fidelity. Yes this, absolutly. I would be also in for backing next project right now (well given you confirm its F-14 ) after what you shown with MiG-21.

westr Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 http://www.globalaviationresource.com/reports/2011/landingandstopping.php A very interesting article from a Royal Navy pilot who got the chance to fly the legendary F-14 Tomcat during a military exchange programme. Having flown the harrier it was interesting to hear his opinions on the Tomcat. Well worth a read. Guest =YeS=CMF Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 What about flight model of MiG-21bis? When it will be complete? Why there is no word about FM in first post???
Flagrum Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 What about flight model of MiG-21bis? When it will be complete? Why there is no word about FM in first post??? What about it - the EFM/PFM is there, isn't it? If there are unresolved bugs, then they will be fixed like any other bug, I suppose. Or what exactly do you mean?

GUMAR Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 You seem to be the only person of some hundred or thousand people with that opinion. Can you explain what brings you to this conclusion? Make a simple test. Try to accelerate to maximum speed at low altitude. At speed of 361*3.6=1299,6km/h is simply STUCK. At ANY altitude maximum IAS is 361 m/s. Look here. There is SARPP_DATA file in attachement, so you can see everything yourself. Or even make your own test at any altitude - your max speed will be 361 meters per second. At 1km G gorizontal of in-game model does not match with real one For graphs: IAS converted to TAS by TAS = IAS + IAS*0.05 TAS converted to M by M = TAS (m/s) / 340 (Thanks GUMAR for export ) To be continued... Dolphin887 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Stall and high angle of attack behavior for example - is it ok? What exactly you feel its wrong with the stall and high alpha behavior? Power through superb knowledge, training and teamwork. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Guest =YeS=CMF Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 What exactly you feel its wrong with the stall and high alpha behavior? It is COMPLETELY wrong! :) I dont need to proove my opinion - MiG doesnt fly like a plane on critical AoA now and it is very noticible.

Concerning the maximum IAS, would you rather want to have irreparable engine or structural damage each time you excess speed limit, regardless whether the game is in the EASY FLIGHT or SIMULATIONS mode? As for the "acceleration graph", I modeled accelerations according to telemetry data retrieved on multitude of real aircraft test flights. Acceleration time from 0.5 to x.x M (depending on the engine setup) is almost perfect match to the averaged data set I have, and data itself vary from aircraft to aircraft a bit; they also deviate from published data a bit, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Concerning the graph itself, there are other graphs which are more illustrative to that problem. In general, my impression is that the finesses are represented here as "horrible" which they are not. This was the instant action "start from runway" Mission. SARPP file reads: 120.000000 512.033188 1305.819483 0.855956 -0.186939 100.004000 -2.425783 210.000000 210.000000 0.000000 I will admit that speed seems to get near a limit but the mentioned magic 1299km/h limit is simply wrong. Repeated this test 4 times, every time over 1300 km/h. Please do a series of tests for yourself next time. If you already had a look at Dolphins post, you will see there has to be a compromise to prevent the engine from permanent damage (maybe caused by overspeed?). Edit: Using emergency AB I was able to get the bird to 383m/sTacview-20150122-200711.txt.zip Edited January 23, 2015 by FSKRipper i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
