So, we basically know for a fact that one of the aircraft will be the F-14.

I want this thread to be a discussion of what aircraft you believe will be made next, not just a want (e.g. I want an F-22 because it is cool).

Given their history with Russian aircraft, I would guess that the other aircraft may be a MiG-23 or a MiG-25. Especially since they commented on how relatively easy it would be to use some of the MiG-21 systems on the MiG-23.

DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!!

Aircraft: A-10C, Ka-50, UH-1H, MiG-21, F-15C, Su-27, MiG-29, A-10A, Su-25, Su-25T, TF-51

Is it confirmed? Source? The last one I read the LN forums, it was a guess, because there was a header in the news thread.

We really need now a separate speculation thread for every aircraft?

I am so tiried of the dozend, already existing wishlist threads (not limited to LNS) (and yes, EVERY one of these threads turns into a whishlist thread eventually).

We do? Source? That's really cool, I love the tomcat!

The development of the Tomcat has been virtually confirmed by so many hints from Cobra in the following thread, that it can be seen as a fact:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132714

Some of the hints were:

- It's not the F-4 but it only misses one digit

- It has not been used by the USMC, but it is an aircraft you'd expect to have been

- It has been build at Calverton (Cobra didn't say Calverton, but he made a weird cryptographical riddle that points to Calverton)

- He had changed his avatar to the Grim Reapers squadron patch and the only plane they have flown that wasn't flown by the marines was the F-14

- He also had changed his avatar to a close up of the Tomcat's radar

- He had changed his avatar to a picture of a goose (TopGun reference)

- and some more I can't remember

Then there is this text in the recent january update together with a blurry picture of a plane that looks like the F-14:

Currently we have three aircraft in advanced states of development, with a few more in mixed, but primarily earlier stages.

We have already hinted heavily at one of the advanced ones, and we'll be showcasing more on all three as we get closer to their respective release dates.

So it's pretty safe to say they are working on the Tomcat!

The question is now, what are the other two planes?

We know from that interview that a MiG-23 of some variety is coming, but it won't be the next one released.

We expect from the very subtle hinting that an F-14 of some variety is coming but... I don't know if I believe that.

The third we have no idea, I suppose it's possible to be a WWII propfighter but we have no idea.

I think, the other two besides a F-14 will be the F-16 - obviously - and according to some of the less obvious hints they did not give, an AH 64 (at least D variant, ofc).

Yeah! That is at least something new here for a change!

What we need is some inspiration and faith - not always those unforgiving and harsh facts that we have to cope with on these forums all the time!

F-22 could be a posibillity, yes! But I have some doubts about the F-35. I mean, hell yeah, day T-20 prepurchase for me in any case, but I think, that LNS probably is not willing to compete here with the two other studios who may or may not produce a F-35 ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DCS: Canary Beta Release on February 14th, 2015

LUSAKA, Zambia, January 13th, 2015 - DCS: Canary Beta will be released on February 14th, 2015!

DCS: Canary will be the first full fidelity flight simulation of the domesticated form of the wild canary, a small songbird in the finch family originating from the Macaronesian Islands (Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands).

Canaries were first bred in captivity in the 17th century. They were brought over by Spanish sailors to Europe. This bird became expensive and fashionable to breeding in courts of Spanish and English kings. Monks started breeding them and only sold the males (which sing). This kept the birds in short supply and drove the price up. Eventually Italians obtained hens and were able to breed the birds themselves. This made them very popular and resulted in many breeds arising and the birds being bred all over Europe.

Features of DCS: Canary include:

Complete cardio-pulmonary modelling

Complete feather simulation with feather flutter modelling

Poor visability replicated with exacting detail

Accurate mating call sounds

Custom flight model

Complete "food as biological fuel" modelling

Accurate emmotion system

Accurate breathing system

Additional features of the Canary model include:

Fully adjustable exterior lighting

Also check out their interview in the 476 podcast, when the host jokingly asks which is their next aircraft, one of the LN guys (I think Roland?) references this:

The F-14 is unofficially confirmed as next via all the not so subtle hints every time cobra opens his mouth in an interview or writes a post here. As for their third release, I'm betting either a modernized MiG-21 or the MiG-23 with the MiG-23 being more likely. Their 4th could be be anything really, I haven't seen any clues so far. I hope it's a MiG-25PD or F-5E, but those are just hopes really.

My thoughts, next it got to be the F-14, then I think Mig-23 after that something western again....I hope LN will keep the eastern then western pattern going.

People really don't understand the difference between what you WANT it to be , and what you THINK it will be...

http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=147 here is the wishlist page

Why do i keep going on about this? I dont know. I understand that guessing about it is just as useless as stating what you want it to be , but we already have an entire subforum for wishlisting.

I want this thread to be a discussion of what aircraft you believe will be made next, not just a want (e.g. I want an F-22 because it is cool).
