Revan Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 So, we basically know for a fact that one of the aircraft will be the F-14. I want this thread to be a discussion of what aircraft you believe will be made next, not just a want (e.g. I want an F-22 because it is cool). Given their history with Russian aircraft, I would guess that the other aircraft may be a MiG-23 or a MiG-25. Especially since they commented on how relatively easy it would be to use some of the MiG-21 systems on the MiG-23. DCS: F-4E really needs to be a thing!!!!!! Aircraft: A-10C, Ka-50, UH-1H, MiG-21, F-15C, Su-27, MiG-29, A-10A, Su-25, Su-25T, TF-51

VTJS17_Fire Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 So, we basically know for a fact that one of the aircraft will be the F-14. Is it confirmed? Source? Flagrum Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 We really need now a separate speculation thread for every aircraft? I am so tiried of the dozend, already existing wishlist threads (not limited to LNS) (and yes, EVERY one of these threads turns into a whishlist thread eventually). 1
hannibal Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 if one of the aircraft is the F-16... the mind will be blown.. ;) find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
QuiGon Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) We do? Source? That's really cool, I love the tomcat! Is it confirmed? Source? The last one I read the LN forums, it was a guess, because there was a header in the news thread. The development of the Tomcat has been virtually confirmed by so many hints from Cobra in the following thread, that it can be seen as a fact: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132714 Some of the hints were: - It's not the F-4 but it only misses one digit - It has not been used by the USMC, but it is an aircraft you'd expect to have been - It has been build at Calverton (Cobra didn't say Calverton, but he made a weird cryptographical riddle that points to Calverton) - He had changed his avatar to the Grim Reapers squadron patch and the only plane they have flown that wasn't flown by the marines was the F-14 - He also had changed his avatar to a close up of the Tomcat's radar - He had changed his avatar to a picture of a goose (TopGun reference) - and some more I can't remember Then there is this text in the recent january update together with a blurry picture of a plane that looks like the F-14: Currently we have three aircraft in advanced states of development, with a few more in mixed, but primarily earlier stages. We have already hinted heavily at one of the advanced ones, and we'll be showcasing more on all three as we get closer to their respective release dates. So it's pretty safe to say they are working on the Tomcat! The question is now, what are the other two planes? Edited January 13, 2015 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Manuel_108 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Additional features of the Canary model include: Fully adjustable exterior lighting  Birds with nav-lights
McBlemmen Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 My guess is F14 , a russian jet , and a WW2 aircraft. Personally i only care about the F14 in this case. (if this is actually the case that is)
Paradox Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 We know from that interview that a MiG-23 of some variety is coming, but it won't be the next one released. We expect from the very subtle hinting that an F-14 of some variety is coming but... I don't know if I believe that. The third we have no idea, I suppose it's possible to be a WWII propfighter but we have no idea.
Flagrum Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I think, the other two besides a F-14 will be the F-16 - obviously - and according to some of the less obvious hints they did not give, an AH 64 (at least D variant, ofc).

Mainstay Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Lets see my hopes are : F14B, Mig23MLD, Su24M and the Mig25PD or BM ..... lets dream a little more shall we Sepecat Jaguar, F16C Block25 or higher, B1B Lancer Block C or D, Sukhoi 22 Fitter and last but not least Mig29M Fulcrum E. So lots of work to do for Leatherneck ;)
Flagrum Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 ..... lets dream a little more shall we Yeah! That is at least something new here for a change! What we need is some inspiration and faith - not always those unforgiving and harsh facts that we have to cope with on these forums all the time!

Flagrum Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I dont know man an F35 and F22 seem more likely ;D F-22 could be a posibillity, yes! But I have some doubts about the F-35. I mean, hell yeah, day T-20 prepurchase for me in any case, but I think, that LNS probably is not willing to compete here with the two other studios who may or may not produce a F-35 ...
Flagrum Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 This isnt a wishlist thread => It is a thread. <= There, simple prove that you are wrong! :o)

Flycat Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DCS: Canary Beta Release on February 14th, 2015 LUSAKA, Zambia, January 13th, 2015 - DCS: Canary Beta will be released on February 14th, 2015! DCS: Canary will be the first full fidelity flight simulation of the domesticated form of the wild canary, a small songbird in the finch family originating from the Macaronesian Islands (Azores, Madeira and Canary Islands). King_Hrothgar Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 The F-14 is unofficially confirmed as next via all the not so subtle hints every time cobra opens his mouth in an interview or writes a post here. As for their third release, I'm betting either a modernized MiG-21 or the MiG-23 with the MiG-23 being more likely. Their 4th could be be anything really, I haven't seen any clues so far. I hope it's a MiG-25PD or F-5E, but those are just hopes really.
CoBlue Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 My thoughts, next it got to be the F-14, then I think Mig-23 after that something western again....I hope LN will keep the eastern then western pattern going. i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR.
McBlemmen Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 People really don't understand the difference between what you WANT it to be , and what you THINK it will be... http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=147 here is the wishlist page Why do i keep going on about this? I dont know. I understand that guessing about it is just as useless as stating what you want it to be , but we already have an entire subforum for wishlisting. I want this thread to be a discussion of what aircraft you believe will be made next, not just a want (e.g. I want an F-22 because it is cool).
Manuel_108 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 What's the fuss about anyway, we'll see it in less than a month. Im glad they are in an advanced developement state however.
