'JESTER AI' - A Proprietary AI System for fully voiced, dependable and smart RIO/WSO

I think this will be the most challenging feature to implement...

No one in this community has ever been pleased with anything AI related

So true... how about a DCS Smart AI add-on?....

Gonna be interesting to see the tactics an gameplay with the Pheonix missle having a 100 mile range. Just curious how big is the caucas map in miles, is it to small a map? how big is the NTTR map gonna be? Or will they be scaled down ingame somehow?

18 seperate targtes painted for other crews an able to fire 6 missles...just crazy.:joystick::pilotfly:

lol when you start to scale things up or down to suit the ''players'', all were left with is just another game and not a simulator.... Im 100% confident that things wont be scaled down or up or nerfed or buffed to suit the players and balance, as DCS seems to be all about its name, beeing a simulatior!

I dont know how good the Phoenix missiles are Im sure theyre pretty dangerous against huge targets like bombers at a long distance, but vs fast maneuvering targets?? I dunno, but I hope they'll make it as real as possible.

Btw; As the Tomcat were able to be fitted with x6 AIM-54, This configuration were ''Rarely used due to weight stress on airframe''. I cant help but picturing myself that every servers will be filled with cats carrying 6 Phoenix's....

NTTR (at the moment): 610km x 600km

Caucasus (if you only count the Black Sea) 1000km x 300km for Carrier Ops

I hope that most enemy fighters will hit the grass as soon as they get painted by that huge radar :)

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

For the Tomcat experts, any of the variants planned is capable of dropping bombs? And If yes, wich kind and within which modes (CCRP, CCIP, use of targeting pods...)

Thanks!

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Well, "One Free Theatre bundled with the Aircraft".

I bet, LNS will take the abilities into account when making that map. My personal guess is, that it will be a large map that probably covers mostly water - perhaps somewhere in the Pacific Ocean that might or might not be "resusable" for the other aircraft(s) they are developing (see the speculations about the WWII carrier together with Japanese flags, etc. ;o)

Mediterranean Sea with Libyan coast seems a likely option. A small sliver of land with a few airfields and then lots of water wouldn't be too hard to make and yet still relatively large in overall size. As for the AIM-54's range, not an issue on the current map. A practical range for the AIM-54 is less than 200km against a non-maneuvering target. It may seem like a lot, but it really isn't. Here are a few example distances:

1) Mozdok to Tbilisi: 240km

2) Senaki to Tbilisi: 250km

3) Senaki to Sochi: 220km

4) Tbilisi to Anapa: 720km

The first 3 are what I consider typical distances between frontline airbases in most missions. The last is the maximum distance allowed using land bases only. There is more than enough room for the F-14 to play.

They can all mount a load of some 16 or so Mk-82s between the engine nacelles. It's all unguided though so it's really old school in that regard.

No support for FFARs or any kind of LGB on the normal version, only iron bombs.

But to be fair, you can get quite a few on there and you can go very fast so you can almost use it like a mini B-58 if you get good at it.

You know, the last time I saw a bunch of us geeks this excited for something video game related?

It was 1994 and it was for Sonic 3.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

A+/ B can do iron and smart munitions. Regular A's were tested with Irons but never actually used them in combat.
