Not trying to be snarky or anything, but where were those seeds when I was getting 15KB/s on a 1Gb fibre connection? Did something not quite work right this time? I had around 200 peers, I was uploading to others at 30Mb... this is not the way bittorrent behaves when I'm seeding... err... Linux ISOs.

Earlier he said that it needed tweaking, and that full installs where blazing fast, but something wasnt happy in the upgrading process... c0ff is a smart guy, he will get it dialed in, all our feedback is helping that.

Same here, was getting 24KB/s with the torrent swarm but since they did the new updater which uses HTTP if there is no data on the swarm it speeded up significantly. Tried to update for two days straight before that!!!!

So if your are still trying, stop, restart and it shoud download the new updater and you should be good to go.

With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.

I tried to do a repair too, still thinks he is an open beta installer. :) File attached.

It says:

"branch": "openbeta",

it means that you either did "DCS_updater update openbeta" there, or edited the file, or replaced it from an openbeta install. To fix this either remove this line or cmdline this:

bin\DCS_updater.exe update release

Feel free anyone to correct me if I'm wrong here but my understanding is that 2.0 plus the NTTR will be a completely stand alone release, and they are keeping 1.2.6 as the stable version for now and leaving 1.5 in Beta. So effectively we who are taking part in the Beta and have purchased NTTR will have 3 separate installs of DCS on our machines.

1.2.6

1.5 Open Beta

2.0 with NTTR Alpha

So in your case you will have 1.2.6 and 2.0 with NTTR on your PC.

System :-

VIRPIL VPC WarBRD Base with HOTAS Warthog Stick and Warthog Throttle, VIRPIL ACE Interceptor Pedals, VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus Base with a Hawk-60 Grip, HP Reverb G2.

Does anyone remember from one of the early streams Wags showing us a feature in the mission editor that will allow you to toggle whether a ground vehicle (such as a tank) will engage aircraft? I was really looking forward to this feature. Unfortunately there's no recording of whichever stream it was but I'm positive it was said.

Here you go Griggsy!

This link is to the DCS World download page.

For the 1.5 beta and the 1.2 standalone. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/

You only need to have the 1.5 Beta, not both if you already have 1.2 in steam.

Tomorrow I believe we get a third option with NTTR and 2.0 will be a separate install. Just until they can update the Georgia map to the 2.0 standard and squash enough bugs.

Then the will probably release NTTR and the Georgia map as a 2.0 beta. Just my speculations don't hold anyone to that.

What is not clear for me is if I will be able to play my FC3 module in the new 2.0 alpha release tomorrow?

I assume the missions won't work but I assume I can use the mission editor to create scenarios right?

Yes. All modules should work.

The missions you have will not work, largely because they were created on a map that is currently not available with v2.0.

Did you pre-order the NTTR Map? If you have that , then yes you can run the Alpha release.

Thanks for the reply ... as long as I can use the editor to create scenarios it's great!

Anyway they've said that the RedFlag campaigns are not far from release so I have ways to keep myself busy till then :D
