Yurgon Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Fault Module Name: nvd3dumx.dll This is more or less a shot in the dark, but that module name seems to point towards something from nVidia, sounds like "nVidia Direct 3D" something. Did you change anything in that regard lately? In any case, I'd try to install the latest graphics card drivers from nVidia, it shouldn't hurt and if you're lucky it might even fix the problem. If it doesn't, at least you tried.

Quote from guy with similiar issue, different game, different hardware. thread http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=266200 Finally fixed this two days ago!! I had been still having problems even after all of the above and to be honest was getting ready to RMA the RAM and Graphics card purely on the basis, it had to be one or the other when I had a mini epiphany after reading two web pages, after another bout of google'ing until my eyes bled. Although it failed 99% of the time on the nvd3dum.dll it did also fail rarely on some other modules, but always when WoT was driving so to speak. But the Exception code: 0xc0000005 was always the same. So I started looking into what the codes meant. From a google result I got a post on tomshardware, which has a link to another site purely talking about "Exception code: 0xc0000005" and after reading through the very long guide (which didn't bear much fruit tbh) I read some of the comments left at the the bottom of the page, which is where I hit pay dirt. Someone had listed lots of the HEX numbers and what they generally mean. 0xc0000005 = Memory controller issues. At first I thought "but I have checked the RAM 3 times already" when it dawned on me what if, what is being sent into the RAM is garbage? So a look on Gigabytes site for a BIOS update found that they had one more new bios and it had better compatibility with overclocking and high speed ram. And so fair I have not had a problem. will- Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 don't think its a issue with the game? sounds more like a hardware problem? if that makes sense. Intel i9-9900K 32GB DDR4, RTX 2080tiftw3, Windows 10, 1tb 970 M2, TM Warthog, 4k 144hz HDR g-sync.
Sgt_Fresh Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 don't think its a issue with the game? sounds more like a hardware problem? if that makes sense. Yes I have downloaded the most current graphics card drivers. Hardware? I don't think so. All my other games run without issue. DCS was running fine. then all of the sudden i get the DCS has stopped working. I see it posted alot so it is obviously an Eagle Dynamics problem that I wish they would address soon. Thanks all who have tried to help : )
Sgt_Fresh Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Updated bios improved memory compatibility. NO LUCK, game still wont run. Still waiting on trouble ticket.

No name, no contact details, nothing... hence the warning on being "wary about running the tool" (which is clear to see)... but it does give a clue as to what the problem may just be, and another (more acceptable) solution, considering many different search engine results all offered the same 'probable' cause.
