That is quite why I would rather than Yak-3 see the Yak-9U ;) it can act as soviet Korean-war prop. (Hell, there was even a finished 3D for it...)

...too bad P-63 never officially fought the Germans, meaning that if anything, there was a few combat-testing pieces on the frontlines - rest being held in reserve for far-eastern front. (It did well there.) It really is an interesting aircraft.

You're right that the P-63 never officially fought the Germans. But your interpretation is wrong.

Under the terms of the P-63 supply under lend-lease the USA forbid the use of them against the Germans (who had pretty much lost the war at this point) and wanted the USSR to save them for planned invasion of Japan.

But giving fighter pilots new toys whilst asking them nicely to keep using the old ones was wishful thinking.

As such there are reports from the Germans of having fought P-63s over Germany as well as reports from Soviet pilots that they switched into the P-63s immediately but kept all the paperwork as reading P-39.

To be honest, i'd like to have a French Groundstrike aircraft to go with the Mirage in due time. Preferably the 2000D or failing that the Jaguar.

Definitely! But i would prefer the Rafale over 2000D as it has true multi role capability and would match/pair nicely with the upcoming Hornet. Besides that it's currently the most beautiful plane imho

rafayale won't happen. it's too classified and gl obtaining documentation.

neither will the mirage 2000d sadly. I actually thought that one might make it in but turns out razbam said no. not enough documentation.

Yup, that's the sad thing with making modern modules. You need either a military contract or a government willing to provide access to documentation, both being very rare. But if luck holds up we will have an awesome module. Though knowing the French the second option is ruled out, same thing with the Russians, Swedes, and etc.

Right now better get our buts over to E3 2017 to fly the F/A-18c in DCS (at the Thrustmaster booth)! There's even speculation that Thrustmaster has secretly being developing an F/A-18c HOTAS (hopefully)/stick, however this is just speculation. But it being polished enough to let people fly it makes me think that the release date is closer than we think, that's just my speculation though.

So gonna keep my hopes up for E3 this year!

perhaps with the exception being US since they most of the times are more open than other nations to current service aircraft ( at least when you dont look to far above 4th gen stuff)though still in active duty. in light of 5th gen even many of the teen fighters series are already being referred as of late as "legacy".

That's what happens when you are the leading nation in military aviation. Because you are a big leap ahead of anyone else, IIRC being the only nation in the world to be currently mass producing 5th gen stealth fighters, the advanced 4th gen stuff is enough of a step back to be declassified. Sadly for us, they are about the only ones in the world to do this.

Another vote for the F-111. Not only is it interesting in its own right, it brings something new to the table in terms of gameplay.

Since the BUFF will be operational until at least 2040 and we will be getting multicrew models anyway with the Tomcat, why not do a B-52H.

Just a little bit crazy but one may dream

An F-111 or Tu-22M would be more likely in the DCS environment. They would also be much more useful, with actual possibilities to run when engaged. While the B-52 or Bear would just die, with no chance of doing anything, when intercepted.

Woah... Let's just narrow that list down a bit, let's say one per category and side. So it would look something like this (for example):

F-4 and MiG-23 for Cold War era birds.

Yak-3, A6M2, and Hellcat for WW2.

Something like this should be a bit more doable in the next decade, most likely not going to happen though. Don't even dream of anything modern if it is not made by the US, 5th gen is just laughable to expect. So in short, be more pessimistic. It helps when you don't get what you want.

well, the rafale isn't a reasonable request but with consideration to the op the list is fine.

3rdgen is where its at for me. bring on the foxbats, flagons, fitters, and phantoms.

Oh yes, bring 'em on!

It's just more useful to narrow a list of requests down, so that it gets done faster. ;)

OK, I'm going to go out on a limb here and bet that nobody has already requested this. I would love to see RAZBAM take a trip in the Wayback machine and do the Grumman TBF Avenger. Alright, how about the TBF1C Avenger? OK, OK, OK! I'd settle for a TBM3 Avenger. How's that?! I haven't seen too many requests for a WWII aircraft. I believe I saw one for a B-29. Basically, anything with a tailhook on it is going to be a huge success! But I think that RAZBAM could really do the Turkey the justice that it so well deserves. It participated in almost every major battle during the war, from Midway to Okinawa. Although it wasn't quite the multi role aircraft of today, such as the Hornet, Harrier, or Mirage, it certainly did it's share of work as an anti-shipping and ground attack aircraft. ED is going to eventually get into the Pacific side of the second world war and this would be a great starter! Maybe RAZBAM could follow their lead with the LHA and Harrier, and turn out a CVE or CVL to go with the Turkey? :pilotfly:

Right you are Koty! Albeit by then they had been relegated to duties as a COD, an electronics Intel gathering plane, an ASW platform and even used extensively during the Chosin Reservoir battle as a MEDEVAC plane.
