It is a shame that nowhere in the product description does it explain that this is the Maple Flag mission.

Btw, the Buy button does not do anything but refresh the page.

For a number of reasons new content has to be released with a patch, but its not like the update didnt have fixes in it as well, and its not like we have gone months since the last update, it was just lat week right? Maybe I just need a beer :D

I love updates as much as anyone. What I love in particular are bug fixes. I love those even more than I do new content. But is it really that weird for ED to push things to sell? I mean... they have to make money, otherwise they will have to spend their time doing other things to be able to pay their bills. And if they are out mopping floors or whatever, we won't get new stuff.

I realize I may sound like an ED salesman here, but realize that things could be much much worse. They are an independent developer. Imagine if EA would be responsible for our DCS goodnes. I mean, my god. That would be the end of it, wouldn't it?

Last time I checked my Steam account before switching to the standalone version I had clocked over 1000 hours in DCS. In a year. And I fly only the A-10C. That is a ridiculously large amount of time for the $40-something I payed for the A-10C module. So much so that I actually felt bad about it and started buying the A-10C module again once per month, just to send a message to ED that that is where I personally want them to put their effort.

So as much as I want patches and bug fixes, don't hate on them for wanting to make money. That's the only way we are going to be able to get more of the good stuff.

Very cool! There training qualifications are exactly what is needed in DCS.

This campaign has been available for DCS, from Maple Flag, for 2 years, or so, IIRC. The only thing that has changed is where you buy it from and how you install it.

mmm... another revenue generation based 'update'. Great.

Without revenue, there'd be no DCS World. So what exactly is your complaint, do you think ED should be a charity and give everything away? Apart from which, Maple Flag are an entirely different organisation! Unbelievable!!!

+a billion for that comment and your whole post.

I'd love to see more content updates for the Su-27 myself, but I understand there are other priorities. That is the economic reality. I own almost every module (but I only fly the Su-27 when I can afford the time) and that's how I like to support ED. It can't be easy surviving in that rough niche market, even with some partial/occasional military contractors.

Maybe I should start to ask for more Su-27 by buying the standalone module each month like you did with the A-10C :music_whistling:
