Manzanita Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Wow I'm pretty disappointed right now. I thought the player balance system that was applied early into the round was still in effect. Clearly it wasn't. What's even the point of putting in all effort when Blue just stacks at dead timezones when everyone is asleep and decides it's fun to cap everything with barely any opposition. This was the same reason I quit during the end of Round 6, it takes no effort to fly against an nonexistent enemy. Unless the Buddyspike team reapplies the balance system they had or figure out a new one soon, I won't be flying anymore.

Again, there's no point in putting in any effort when this will just keep happening. It kills any sense of progression. Nope, have fun spawncamping the few that will put up with it. :thumbup:

It is the same situation for both teams, which is why a system was put in place to handle that. IIRC a team couldn't capture while having 10 more then the other team, which worked pretty well early on. Look what happens when it's removed lol.

Six AI spam, hoardes of SAMS, SHORAD, endless stingers, 5 min base repair, unlimited fuel, always a safe airbase for fighters to land and be immediately back in the fight. 30v7 doesn't matter, it would take some hardcore co-ordination to break that and in this open environment that ain't going to happen. Stuge Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I have a thought... what if the winning team of the round, at least in case neither team could take all bases, was decided by dominance time, perhaps weighted by some factor like bases held? Something similar to Battlefield games. My point is that because of the rubber-band-like movement of the front any work done for taking and holding bases can get nullified by just a short time of being outnumbered. Right now even if a team dominates the game for an entire week it may count for nothing, all it takes is one unlucky day to lose it all. Perhaps one base could even be made uncapturable, since a victory by capturing all bases require a combination of one team pulling off great team work while timing it right so the other team is sleeping at the time of the push :) http://www.104thphoenix.com

Do you understand timezones? Since blue is almost ENTIRELY made up of 'MURICANS and red only has a handful of them ... sure. Why not get up when red is playing? Oh wait, you already do that too. Balancing needs to happen, not everyone can pull a no-lifer and play 24/7. This 30:5 crap no fun for either side. Then again with the absence of the heli refuel no one has to worry about spawning. Which completely kills the strategic potential. Right now it is like trench war ... one step forwards, one step back. There is no movement in the frontlines, bases take forever to be taken and as we can see it just turns into a stalemate. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Funny how blue is still outnumbering red for most of the campaign, sans the 3 days were red was outnumbering blue for sometime. Even right now blue outnumbers red, although it's redfor-time.
