Sofapiloz Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 A Legend. The workhorse of several Armys all around the World. A chance not to only carry some Boxes, but bring a damaged F15 from Carrier to workyard. Or a light Tank into landing Zone. Outstanding SAR missions over the seas. Ohhhh, the possibilities are unlimited... Give it to us Rotorheads! Please! Hopeful from good hot germany Mattes
toni Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 would be cooooool........alongside with a Iwo Jima class LPH, Tarawa or Wasp LHD
Krasniye Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Do we really need a transport helo with just door gunners in DCS right now? I mean no offense but the CH53 makes the Huey and Mi-8s weapon systems look AH-64 tier. I think maybe a transport helo like this would be cool after we get attack helos in the game. Just my $0.02 though. >>Find my liveries (new model MiG-29 Liveries!) and mods here<<
Rangi Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 A CH-53 would be cool once there is a native logistics system and dynamic campaign. 1 PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
Aginor Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I'd love to fly it. One of my favourite helicopters, it is frickin' huge and it can do lots of stuff and it looks cool and did I mention it is huge? Holy cow I love it. With a proper logistics system implemented I can imagine it would make a great DCSW module. I can still understand that many people want something more combat-oriented though. Fun fact: It is designated as a "medium transport helicopter" in the german army, although it is by far the biggest helicopter in german service ever :D I never understood this  Edit: Just before anyone complains, they are of course not in service with the army (Heer) anymore, since they got stolen by - I mean transferred to - the air force (Luftwaffe) a few years ago. Aginor Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Yeah, I remember that from my days with the Heer. Pretty funny to call it "medium". :D DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet

Jarlerus Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I like it too, but yeah. Waiting until we at least have some gunships could be prudent. I'll still add it to my list ^^ 1 Jarl at YouTube DCS Service Span and Wishlist Spreadsheet Forum post for discussion of above spreadsheet Retro Electro Playlist on Spotify
chev255 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 MH-53 Pave Low would be awesome (terrain following radar, air to air refueling, etc.)
Yurgon Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 MH-53 Pave Low would be awesome (terrain following radar, air to air refueling, etc.) Agreed! CH-53 is pretty iconic as-is, but HH-53 or MH-53 would be awesome++, adding even more versatility.
Angelthunder Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I think well see a Sea Stallion some day by a third party. But not until helos like Belsimteks UH-1 Huey and Mi-8 Hip models get workable AI infantry and movable cargo vehicles to load & unload from the transport helicopters. Then i'm sure 3rd parties will be enticed to make more bigger helos in the future like the Mi-26 Halo or the CH-47 Chinook.
Volator Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Edit: Just before anyone complains, they are of course not in service with the army (Heer) anymore, since they got stolen by - I mean transferred to - the air force (Luftwaffe) a few years ago. They weren't stolen; the Army didn't want to pay for them anymore to have more funds available for other things like the Puma IFV, so they wanted to get rid of the CH. That's what I've learned. The German Air Force gladly jumped on the chance though. Edited September 17, 2016 by Pilot Ike changed APC to IFV 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
