Was not able to close it ... a JTAC found a Bunker and lased it - the bunker was invisible .... for me(A10C) as well as for Tallguy(huey)

 

That's not invisible,well it's a underground bunker,you need A10c equipped with GBU38 bunker buster to kill it.Set laser code provided by JTAC and profit

There are no true underground bunkers in Dcs and no BLU or paveway series bunker busters.

 

Suspect it's either a bug or you are talking about the grass covered bunkers. But the person calling it out says a Huey could not spot it, suggesting to me it was a bug. The grass covered bunkers would be very noticeable while being lased/smoked.

The server is generally a great experience, but is there a reason why you place Harriers at "road bases" where:

 

a: you can't refuel or re-arm

b: the road is full of light poles, so you can't take off

c: you can't do a vertical takeoff to avoid the light poles because of "a"

 

At the same time, harriers are not found at any airbase.

So basically, it's extremely hard to fly Harriers on this server.

There is any answer of this questions?

And now is

d:everything is more dificult becouse harrier is fully loaded with no fuell!!!!(or fuell only for take off and find the nearest airfield,what is ridicoulos becouse you have to JETTISON all your load before landing.

I'm guessing this is ED netcode problem, but I suffer severe freezes when certain people join or disconnect from the server. Upwards of 60 seconds of frozen screen, then once they finish timing out, the game continues like nothing happened, and then I see the message that someone disconnected or joined.

 

Anyone else having this issue? Is there anything I can do on my end to alleviate this? I can't fly the A-10C or F-5 very much because I end up CFIT on almost every freeze whenever I'm engaging something.

We talked about this at lengths like 3 pages ago. The answer is that the farps are getting changed to the old farps so you can start on the road and hover over. There you can rearm/refuel and then short takeoff from the farp. Should be able to take a decent loadout. There sadly is no rearming capability at roads for harriers yet.

Probably one of the easiest ways is just to hop on comms, which there’s instructions for on the blueflag gadget. Most would be willing to help you out. If you see me around, just let me know and I’ll give you the skinny

@everyone we have some updates in the next restart:

- Removed the following objectives - Tshinvali, Mestia, Lazarevskoe, Smole.

- SA-11 changed to Hawk for Blufor only.

- Added CAS AI - AV-88(Blue), Su-17 (Red), blue spawn at Kobuleti & Tbilisi, red spawn at Vody & Krasnodar.

They perform CAS only at the start of each restart, and they are part of those airbases objectives.

-Changed all single FARPs to normal FARPs.

-Added Tankers -

Blue - Shell(Kobuleti,32Y,135.5), Arco(Tbilisi,33Y,136.5)

Red - 184(Krasnodar,131.5), 185(Mozdok,132.5)

-Added clouds from 13k and we will work on adding dynamic weather.

 

Please let us know if you encounter any issues with the above changes.

I have a crazy idea... instead of starting bases as neutral or even fully capped... what if they all started at say... 5% or 10% on their respective side?

 

This would make defending your bases and running repairs much more important until the bases eventually self repair.

Any tips with troops defending farps? How do you find them? Do they have to walk directly on the FARP or do I need to search forest clearings etc. for tiny infantry?

 

Haven't play on BF for a while and this has me quite confused. Also what's with the Harriers on the FARPs? Why not just normal Harriers on airbases? I am all for Harrier roadbases, once they are 100% supported and you don't need to break a leg to rearm. I am quite particular about my loadouts! =)

Personally, I can tell you it happened as soon as I shot a mav to Maykop's sam, while being engaged by it

 

Not sure if coincidence, but right before the last few crashes I've been on, there's been a call on comms for "SAM Launch" and then blam, server dies.

I heard the call on SRS, I don't think it was the same sam. It was a minute before I engaged.

Also that sam already shoot at me several missiles with no issue at all.

 

Other crashes I had (not in this server) were after finishing AAR

Finally I've done my own, hand-made TACMAP (100cm x 50cm)

Special thanks goes to LEROY-MERLIN :megalol:; total price: about €60; I've done it in more or less 10hours of work, plus the 3 hours only to draw the map itself

 

With the plexiglass put on top of the map I can draw tactics with witeboard markers that I can erase once they become obsolete!:pilotfly:

See Mi-8 Sim : OPTIONS / CONTROLS / " Gunners AI Panel " (The "All" drop-down list)

 

Right Shift + K activates kneeboard

 

Kneeboard not coming up to display CREW STATUS (Page 370 of the Mi-8 Flight Manual)

 

How are AI gunners setup? Return Fire or Free Fire ?

 

I do not see any way for me to adjust the AI fire conditions or rate of fire in game.

 

(Pages 409, 410, and 411)

 

I assume AI are setup in some form of automatic fire ??

I see I do have access to the left side door gunner's position ( "4" key ) and can freehand fire the gun using my mouse buttons with zoom capability.
