I believe that the mainstay of the LW bomber force in 1944 was the JU88. Therefore, may I suggest that a JU88 (1944 specification) would be a welcome addition for DCS WWII. Perhaps an AI model initially, like the B17.

Happy landings,

Racoon,

I have the feeling that you are already ahead of us all and have everything well in hand :)

Thank you and good luck to you and all the team with the WWII project.

Hopefully the B17 will set the benchmark, and provide an indication of community interest in the multi-engine warbirds from both sides. A few twins would be great. I'm not sure the 4-engine heavies make as much sense as the likes of the Douglas A-20, Martin B-26 Marauder, DH Mosquito, JU88 with the limited map available.

After a B-17 would be a monster for DCS to build compare to the the small setup we have currently, feel make not any sense.

As twin Engine Setup would be the Me-410 the Mosquito and A-20 with layout as multirole Bomb Ground Strike aircraft realy wellcome would be nice aspect for later MP Server.

A JU88 AI would be a great target for the Spitfire and P51, as the ME109 and the FW190 are now getting the AI B17 as a bomber target.

For a fully fledged twin engine DCS WW2 module, the Mosquito gets my vote. They were used in 1944 for sweeps over Normandy so would fit the bill perfectly. One can only dream :)

System :-

i7-12700K 3.6 GHz 12 core, ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming, 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz, 24GB Asus ROG Strix Geforce RTX 3090, 1x 500GB Samsung 980 PRO M.2, 1x 2TB Samsung 980 PRO M.2, Corsair 1000W RMx Series Modular 80 Plus Gold PSU, Windows 10. VIRPIL VPC WarBRD Base with HOTAS Warthog Stick and Warthog Throttle, VIRPIL ACE Interceptor Pedals, VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus Base with a Hawk-60 Grip, HP Reverb G2.

I am all for ju88. I have proposed it at least once myself. Extremely versatile platform. From tactical bomber, dive bomber and torpedo bomber to a night fighter, not to mention iconic, along side He111, bomber of the Luftwaffe.

And I would say allies need a ground pounder too. B25/Mosquito/A20.
