Looks more like a graphic memory issue you have on your rig.

It's black because DCS is unable to load the textures, usually a memory issue or a bad graphic card. Maybe try with some graphic scenery settings toned down?

Yes, I think the FA2 is better suited - I like this one myself, but I am happy to wait until later models are released. Be nice to have the time to learn painting for DCS - I've only done ones for FSX before and so few hours in a day :(

 

Oh btw - if anyone wants some colour schemes for the British Harriers, I have a number of decal sheet and model instruction pages I can easily scan and send you/upload for private use - just send a pm.

Just realised this actually only happens in 1.5.8 beta, release version and 2.1 work fine. I only downloaded the beta for the Harrier hence why I've never seen it before.

Although on a similar note when I change skin in the mission editor in 2.1 the flanker in the hanger goes a mental flashing green!!!!!!

You get blank skins the same when picking a skin in mission editor to. Dont blame our rigs ;)

knowing there's no Yak-38 in the project, this skin is perfect for scenarios where the harrier are in both sides....
