IronMike Posted August 16, 2017 Author Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Sry it comes so late, but work held me hostage, I have to keep it short this time. Mission Briefing: Situation: In an effort to broker a peace deal between Georgia and Abkhazia, Nato and Russia partnered up and facilitated a peaceful solution. Georgia would acknowledge Abkhazia, both countries would bury hostilities, and both Georgia and Abkhazia would get an armament deal with both the West and Russia, while Abkhazia was to become part of the Russian Free World Programme, the RFWP, and Georgia part of Nato. Georgia was the first to recieve a substantial amount of western and russian fighter aircraft, together with instructors, weapons and training programmes. Abkhazia didnt get anything yet, as Russian Troops in Abkhazia have been put under Abkhazian Leadership for now. However, during the last year of training an ultranationalist fascist regime slowly started showing its real face, with zero interest in peace: in a moment of utter lunacy, and complete loss of reality, it seems, the Georgian military arrested and excecuted all Russian an Nato instruction forces and simply stole the aircraft that had been given to them anyway, as a mistake as is now clear. This barbaric action cannot go unpunished, boys. We are going full in. We are invading Georgia and we will wipe those fascists from the face of the earth. Welcome to Operation Woodchipper. Operation Woodchipper: This is an amphibious invasion. Let us be clear: the fascist regime has little support in the populace, so collateral damage is not acceptable. We will strike swiftly, we will strike precisely and we will strike deadly. But we will strike legitimate targets only. Pay attention to that espacially in towns. Hearts and Minds! Objective 1: Capture Batumi - Huey Ford 1+2 Objective 2: Capture Senakhi - Huey Ford 3 and Mi8 Ford 4 and Ka50 Objective 3: Bomb Kobuleti runway and eliminate surrounding forces -A10s and later maybe Viggens Objective 4: Destroy Bridges 5 in Kobuleti to cut off Kobuleti HQ from Batumi - A10s Objective 5: Bomb Kutaisi runway and eliminate surrounding forces - A10s and Viggens Objective 6: Destroy s300 sites at Kutaisi and Ambrolauri (3x in total) - Viggens Optional: Destroy Forces north of Kutaisi Airport Strikers and rotary: - Coordinate your flight time with the Ford Flights (note that Ford north has a longer flight time than Ford South). Ford 1 and 2 will depart south out of turkey and insert two delta teams into Batumi Airport. This Airport has only local police units that can and have to be eliminated. Let your doorgunners take care of them. Ford 3 and 4 will insert via the Inguri and capture Senakhi. The Russians were so kind to give them a Ka-50 escort. Senakhi has more enemy forces, so the Ka50 should clear ahead of the delta teams. let the police units be taken care of last by the huey and mi8, concentrate on armor and air defenses. Make sure you insert the teams in the marked green areas as marked per flight designation. Land only after all ground forces have been eliminated. After insertion help with air to ground. As Batumi is so close to the sea, we will be able to rearm you immediately. - A10s are to bomb the bridges first, the take out Kobuleti Airport (beware of sa-19s) Air Defenses and Bomb the Runway, then eliminate HQ at Kobuleti and Poti. - Viggens should make landfall only with a firm fighter cover on blue. head low and straight for kutaisi and eliminate the s300 and bomb the runway. rtb for rearm and eliminate the s300s around Ambrolauri, then join the striker groups as required. - The Objectives listed above are not in priority order. the highest priority are: destroy bridges, capture batumi and senakhi, destroy both HQs, destroy Airports. in that order. Airboss should arrange for appropriate timings. Fighters: - Establish CAP Station over the Inguri. The Georgians have no AD there, the Navy will deal with the Ground forces later. - Establish CAP Station feet wet of Poti. - Push enemy air out of Kutaisi. We know they have no weapons there, make them retreat to Kutaisi and prepare for their comback. - Once the Viggens have dealt with the S300s, replace for Kashuri Cap. Keep enemy air behind Kashuri - Protect the Strikers at all times, beware of enemy air defenses! Overall: Blue will have no sam cover during the invasion, until Kobuleti and Poti HQ are eliminated. once that is done and Senakhi has been captured, it will take around 30 min to get the units from the coast to Senakhi. Until then operate with care. Good luck! Red Briefing will be given beforehand. See picture for tasking in thread below.
