I don't share that opinion. Just unnecessary clutter in my eyes

Hello,

OK, we have a misunderstanding ... the person I was addressing had said "this directory does not exist on my version" .. so I understood that he didn't have a "Config" FOLDER.  What you mean is that you don't have a "pluginsEnabled.lua" FILE .. and that's OK, as this file you have to create yourself. Here I'm attaching my version of this file .. edit it so that each line is "true" for only those aircrafts you want to show up on DCS desktop.

Do not Add on this file other type of DLC, like Terrains, SuperCarrier or WW2 Assets, or DCS may not work properly. Also, don't add the free aircrafts: Su-25T nor the TF-51.

Best regards,

Eduardo

I don't think that's correct there Rudel.

I have a pluginsEnabled.lua in both DCS Stable and OB and i didn't create them myself.

More... in this file i have entries for SuperCarrier, all my Terrains, the free aircraft and even non-native DCS plugins as TacView, VIACOM Pro etc...

Works just fine

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Hello,

Do this test: Rename your /Saved Games/dcs.openbeta to say openbeta.bak ... start DCS, it will re-create the /saved games/dcs.openbeta/ folder ... take a look at /Config/ ... you will see that there is no PluginsEnabled.lua

Most likely you got that pluginsEnabled.lua from the Forum and placed it there, but don't remember it now 😄

Best regards,

Eduardo

I take your word for granted but...

No i didn't. In fact, it's through this topic that i now know it exists. I honestly have no clue how it got there. Both my stable and OB versions have one (different ones even, they are not the same) and i'm only testing on the OB version, maybe immaculate conception?

The only other explanation I can think of, is that older versions of DCS did create this file, while newer ones do not. 🤔

pluginsEnabled.lua 1.39 kB · 10 downloads

So after the last update my folder structure seems similar to your screen shot now, the file you posted does indeed work after I edited it and dropped it in. Thank you

I came across this thread when I was trying to figure out how to cleanup the module icons.

It appeared there was no way to get full control of them so I got a bit stubborn and spent some time digging through the lua files.

Found a way if you don't mind editing a file:
