Situational Brief:

 

The NATO/IRANIAN relationship is currently at breaking point and NATO forces have been deployed in the Persian Gulf area. It is believed that the Iranian's are moving to a war footing de-stabalising the area and potentially threatening valuable oil supply routes in the region.

 

The regime has threatened to launch Scud Missile attacks on it's neighbors and is believed to have deployed these assets at remote locations within it's borders.

 

NATO forces are carrying out clandestine operations utilizing special forces units in an attempt to locate and destroy this menacing threat.

 

Once located your task will be to eliminate the threat utilizing laser guided munitions for pinpoint accuracy. Special forces units will provide target marking and identification.

Small 20 minute SP mission for having some relaxed flying.

 

 

In a strange cooperation we help out the local police forces against a well armed drug cartel. They lately shot down a police chopper with a stinger armed Cessna.

 

We are tasked to take out their runway at Beatty Airport to prevent further takeoffs.

 

Rumors say that in anticipation of this cooperation the cartel maybe bought some air defenses and have them hidden somewhere in the area. So stay low - we don't need the press sticking their nose into this business right now and a downed F-18 isn't easy to hide.

 

Our security saw a chopper from the cartel around, if you stumble over him you are free to engage and kill. But the primary mission is to destroy that runway.

 

We recommend a single pass with 500ft drop intervals while having a defensive flare program running.

 

We recommend a constant AGL level of 300-500ft.

 

ATC is TACAN 77X / 257.950

When I made this mission for Hawkeye the Bug had not been released yet so the strike on the Scud sites was centered around the AV-8B. When the Bug was released I added them as escorts for the strike package for use in a MP environment.

 

If you wanted to use the F/A-18C Lot 20 as the primary strike package in Single Player or Multiplayer simply change the client slot AV-8Bs to F/A-18C Lot 20s. As laser guided munitions are not yet available for the Bug you will have to select your loadout accordingly.

Hi meloco, when you have changed the slots highlighted above you will be able to contact your JTAC via the F10 menu.

Hi Furia, as per the explanation above if you change the strike package to F/A-18C Lot 20s you wont have laser guided weapons but the mission goal is still achievable with the ordinance available to you.

Escort E-3 (starting from Batumi) from Rendezvous point to Destination Airport (Mineralnye).

Approx. 1 hour flight in the morning on June 2018

good for Training to stay on Speed and Alt to Escort and maybe react to threat.

 

 

- Catapult Start hot

- A2A armament, no tanks (had 3000 fuel left on destination)

- 50% Chance of intercept flight.

- no goals, just have a nice time and play with systems of F/A 18

Nice mission although I found out a bit harder than the RedFlag one because the objectives and tgts are not that clear.

This was a fun mission. I had two problems, which I'm sure were self induced:

 

1. I could not contact Arco 11. The Refueling menu after F10 was greyed out? I used M and dialed in the correct frequency 0n 295.4 AM, but menu stayed greyed out?
