Please post your fps in instant mission, takeoff from carrier in persian gulf.. Please list your cpu/gpu combo, and graphic settings in short..

 

I have i5 2500k 16gb ram rx480 nitro oc with 4gb.

On high settings i had to disable ssaa, msaa,mfd resolution to 512 to get 19 fps on takeoff. Shadows on medium... Scenery tree shadow to low. Sound is sometimes crackling for me.

There's another thread about this. It seems that static Lot 20 Hornets causes massive framerate loss. Make a clean mission with yourself on the same carrier and see then, for me the framerate is at least 2x higher.

Thank God I am doing pretty well compared to the above, I switched shadows to low and the MFD's to 512 and it has improved things dramatically, the 3 screen in the cockpit are a system hog.

60 fps solid.. till i fired off some rockets into a city... then it dropped to 54fps for a second.. GPU utilization 75-80% @48c.. with FXAA on in Nvidia Control Panel plus the game settings.. pretty sweet... but could definitely be optimized..

18/30 fps on the carrier and immediately after takeoff...then 40/60 while usually i am at 72fps locked (144hz with fastsync enabled)

Thank god I'm not the only one; the instant action carrier take off is awful for me in VR. No hard numbers but well below 45fps (build in signature).

 

Settings wise, I'm at 1.5PD, No MSAA, flat shadows and medium/High settings everywhere else.

About 15-20 FPS on the carrier, >50 FPS when airborne.

 

Most settings on high, extreme view distance, no AA within DCS, MFAA set on Nvidia control panel.

 

Two X5675 Xeons, GTX 1050 Ti.

 

I understand the FPS drop is due to the static aircraft, and a known/reported issue.

27 fps @4k

 

I got 27 fps @4k, but right after take off I get 60 fps (V-Sync on)

It very much seems to be a CPU bottleneck. My GPU is @50% while one CPU core is kind of maxed out.

 

I fiddled around with the graphics settings a bit but none made any difference.

When I turn off MSAA, even from paltry 2x, the performance boost is substantial. With MSAA on I'm getting constant microstutters.
