some1 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 The issues are bigger than just no ASW. At least using Oculus Rift: 1. There is a lag when moving head sideways. You get a floating cockpit effect. 2 . Image in left and right eye desync when you move head sideways and you start to see double. 3. FPS is capped to 45 like ASW is working, but it clearly does not and... 4. switching between ASW/ATW modes (Ctrl-1 to Ctrl-4) does not do anything Bascially Oculus VR in latest beta is broken. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Hippo Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Something's definitely changed. If I take the Rift HMD off (my head) I can no longer access the sim using the monitor, the game seems to pause / stop. falcon_120 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Same here. Also if moving the head quickly from one side to the other i can see a black not rendered zone. Also I have reported a bug when opening the game controls and going to axis commands.

toutenglisse Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Same here, ASW can't work. When 90 fps everything is ok but Under that there is no ASW. Ctrl 1,2,3 and 4 works (you can see it in menu with FPS Indicator on), but as long as you are on the ground you are stuck at 45 asw off, whatever the ASW setting is. I updated DCS + repair/cleanup, deleted fxo and metashaders2, deleted option.lua and updated nvidia drivers. if from a flight I hit Esc. and quit to desktop, a crash occurs but no crashlog, only this DCS.txt.
Guest arc_tander Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I'm definitely also perceiving a downturn in rendering performance. Quick rolls leave double vision on the landscape port/starboard, and quick head movements lead to black zones. I'm also getting stutters I've never had before. A quick flight made me feel quite uncomfortable. Definately needs fixing for Rift pilots - I won't be able to play if this goes to Stable/OpenBeta isn't fixed. Oculus Rift, 1070TI, i5-4690K, SSD purely for DCS, 16GB RAM Oooh - my first post has to be a bug :-(
wrl11 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 I am getting all the rift problems too. I wonder if my game crashing on exit is rift related. .

Yomo Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Similar issues here with OR. ASW doesn't appear to be working. Odd lag/overshoot when moving head. Talonx1 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Same as I posted in the bugs thread on this topic... Admittedly I didnt do the update before my first response. However after the update I loaded a mission and it worked fine for a few seconds then started the problems mentioned in the vr thread. I exited DCS and restarted the Oculus Process via the oculus debug tool and now its working fine. In fact it seems to be working better than before. Pre-patch I was never able to above 45 fps regardless of what ASW mode I tried. Now I can turn it off and fluctuate between 75-90 and turn it on for a solid 45. Time will tell if it starts having the problem again but for now it seems fixed.
