Got the exact same thing, also visible in daylight. The flashing appears to be a light that comes on when the probe is fully deployed. The light seems to be in the aircraft but it's not the floodlight, it's further in the back but also on the right. It's even reflecting on the probe itself and the flickering is also visible from an outside view.

 

 

The only way to get rid of the flickering is to disable all lights by pressing L.

 

 

Perhaps it's an AMD issue, not everyone has this. Using latest drivers though.

I did have a search to see if this had been reported but it looks like it hasn't yet. I've got a very bad flickering light issue in the cockpit that happens when two conditions are met.

 

 

1. Refuelling probe is extended (or is extending).

2. Navigation lights are set to 'on' position.

 

I recorded it and uploaded it to YT. Apologies for the poor quality but the issue is visible in the clip.

As you can see, switching the lights off was enough to stop the effect. It is repeatable in both the Caucasus and Persian Gulf maps, and happens at both day and night.

 

Graphics drivers are up to date. Same issue occurred with the 4.16 Nvidia drivers.

 

My system is an i5-7600K, 16GB of 3000mhz RAM, GTX1070Ti and I have DCS installed on an SSD under Windows 10. I have tried to repair files but it has made no difference.

Have you deleted the video? Very interested since I have a consistent light issue when refueling probe is extended. Edit: You mean the white illumination of the cockpit/mfd? It looks like a big white light is moved across from the buttom of the cockpit to the right mfd when the probe is fully extended.

 

 

Screen right before & after. Don't want to hijack your thread but sounded very similar to what is annoying me for a while. :)

Not sure why you can't see my video. I'm getting a playback error now too and I don't know why, although the video has had a few views since it was posted.

 

 

should take you to the clip though. The light issue for me can be eliminated by turning off my position lights. I've uninstalled and deleted my DCS installation and am currently reinstalling it. Hopefully that will fix it. If it does and you have the same issue as I do, I'll report back.

the only time I had an issue like this was in vr shadows off, global lighting on, nav lights on, and then cockpit lighting on and it would flicker, though I think it was also because my frame rate dipped to 20-25 in each eye

Delete and reinstall all of dcs world or just the hornet module? Im getting this same problem.Mine flickers so bad that it is just too distracting to refuel.

I have that problem on one eye in VR, when I geht to the lower fps range sometimes. It flickers only the green lights, not the console background lights itself..

I wiped the lot.

 

 

My install started out as an open alpha build and was turned into an open beta one at some stage. The only mod I ever installed was the A-4E, and uninstalling that didn't do anything. It was only an update or two ago that the flickering started.

Same issue

 

I'm getting the same issue in the FA-18. It seems to have shown up about two weeks ago. When I extend the refueling probe, I either get a bright light throughout the cockpit, or a horrible strobing flash in the cockpit.

 

This is happening on a custom missions, and I just a minute ago tried it on the Instant Action refueling mission. As soon as the probe completely extends, a very bright (and strobing) light fills the cockpit. It seems to go away as soon as the probe starts to retract.

 

It's bright enough with enough reflection that you can't read the DDIs.

On a side note, I'm also getting crazy light flickering effects when i have taxi light on even after take off with gear up in various different aircraft like the mig 29 and the mig 21.Don't know of this is related but seems weird.Seems the lighting could really use some looking into.

Im having the same issue as Shakey. With Hornet, refueling probe extended, white strobe light flashing in cockpit. Retract probe strobe turns off. Instant Action refueling mission. VR. Rift.

 

 

What, AAR wasn't tough enough? lol

I get the same thing, using RTX 2070. Not sure if it is a setting or what is causing this -- but it is kind of annoying. I just have to turn off my external lights. Who else is having this issue?

I get this in instanct action for AAR refueling, not using VR simple 2d plain.

NVIDIA refuel flickering

 

First encounter behind and under an MPRS tanker. Light seems to connected to tanker.

Second encounter many miles away from tanker. When I took a full circle: not from all direction cause the flickering.

Third encounter:

VERY distracting!
