^ Cheers for checking Max.

The clips I saw were on YT of the devs flying about testing. ‘Juice’ I think was explaining what was what.

Maybe they decided against using them for whatever reason? No worries, so long as my version isn’t busted.

I’m one of these people that likes everything to be working properly that should be. Used to cost me a small fortune when I started out motoring.

I have a feeling that it exists a version(s) that has not been released to the public. Because of some misunderstandings and personal reasons, which I can understand. Don't quote me on that.

Ah,

We’ll bypass the bypass hook for now then. The jet flies ok without the missing switches and bits. So far as I’ve flown it at least. I’ve got it back on the boat now a few times. Red Arrows skin for encouragement, loads of fun.

I’m gonna need a multi-coloured smoke pod for this though. 🙃 :pilotfly:

Hi Slippa,

if you didn't know, there is smoke pod script for the Goshawk. Check out VNAO's Discord.

Hello Naval Aviators,

I've been working on updating some of the scripts in the Goshawk, fixing various stuff:

1.    Magnetic variation from the map implemented, TACAN, VOR and Waypoints magnetic bearings now correct.
2.    Switches for the radios now work in the correct direction.
3.    264 MHz and 305 MHz are automatically set on the radios (Bankler's Case I training mission, to talk with buddies via SRS).
4.    COMM1 and COMM2 are automatically audible and on when you have a hot air or ground start.
5.    Parking brakes are set on ground by default.
6.    ADI is on MFDL and HSI is on MFDR by default on a hot start.
7.    Antiskid is on by default for a hot start.
8.    ILS is on and tuned to 110.30 Batumi ILS.
9.    TACAN is on and tuned to 72X.
10.    Data Page on either MFD is cleaned up and shows magnetic variation and QFF from the map.
11.    Hides the NATOPS Kneeboard CHL.
12.    CDI for TACAN and VOR now show correctly when using the reciprocal course.
13.    Altimeter starts at the correct setting, within the limits of the Kollsman window.
14.    Wind displayed on the HSI is now in the correct direction (was 180° off)
15.  Added a temperature error to the altitude based on QFF and sea level temperature

All these changes are in the Scripts folder which I have attached below. Please read the readme.txt file to know where to install (replace the original).

Feedback and info about any new bugs introduced by my tinkering very welcome.

Deleted item 11. since the overwrite wasn't removing the NATOPS Kneeboard

Nice one, I’ll take a look later on.

I’ve barely started learning how to use anything (systems-wise) in jets. Loads to learn yet.

Cheers for the tinkering, great little mod this is. :pilotfly:

Thanks a lot for sharing these improvements, I'm not currently flying the T-45, but saved your edits just in case I return to it on the future. 👍

@Fresh, many thanks for all the improvements!

I may be missing something, but the HUD now shows only the graphical lines, but none of the numbers for airspeed, altitude, heading and pitch ladder.

I replaced the Scripts folder in its entirety.

Hi Deep,

strange... is anyone else experiencing this?

If you select to have the HUD repeated in one of the MFDs are you seeing the same thing?

There have been Font issues in the past. Have you installed any other mods?

Thx,

Fresh

Hi @Fresh,

I was so focused on the HUD that I didn't notice that all the MFD's are also missing numbers.

I do have quite a few mods installed, so it's probably a conflict somewhere. If I go back to the old Scripts, everything works minus the new improvements of course.

Thanks for any other pointers,

deep

If you have the time and energy try a fresh install of the T-45C. I did a fresh install myself and then added the zipped Scripts folder to test before going public.

Would it be awkward to add the smoke pods here as I’m not a discord user?

I wouldn’t wanna make more work for ya. I’m not sure what it entails to be honest.

Flew it about last night after reinstalling all the maps. I’m well impressed with it. Flying it as a red until I find a RNFAA skin, I’m not quite up to a reds standard 😁. Had to turn the volume up a bit to hear the engine, I’m not complaining, I’m more used to noisy props with the lid open 🙂.

I know this bird is a trainer but it would be nice to spice it up a little by adding working gun into it i already added some bombs and rockets still testing but can't figure out the gun part yet, but still a nice MOD indeed.

It doesn’t have an internal gun, and I don’t think it carries a gun pod IRL.

Something tells me it's gonna be like a Cheech & Chong film in my DCS tonight. :smoke:

Cheers for passing round the smoke Fresh, and thanks to Michael Puoci for making/growing it. 😁
