Cold start is actually already working, but there are a few inaccuracies we need to clean up first or face a massive internet feakout.

Thanks

I do wish you guys didn't have to deal with that, and could just show it in-progress as you clean things up and make adjustments to systems. It'd probably be really educational about how those systems are simulated "under the hood" so to speak, and I'd love to see it.

Agreed, if only people acted like adults and not spoiled brats.

Well whatever you can push out next I am looking forward to watching, but cold start being nearly ready for EA sounds promising and gives me hope that the F16 isn't that far away from being accessible.

A huge thank you for these videos Wags! I noticed two things in the last one posted for the LGB's. First is, I didn't see where you can enter the code for the laser guided bombs. Secondly, I noticed that you chose Nose AND Tail for the fusing, unlike what we do in the Hornet, where we choose Tail only. Is this an operational difference between weapons or aircraft??

- All of our reference material indicates that there is no ability from the cockpit to reset the laser PRF code in the bomb seeker, it must be done on the ground. Only TGP designation PRF and LST are set from the cockpit.

- Nose/Tail works fine because it is still selecting the tail fuse. Either Tail or N/S tail would work.

Thanks

So will this be changed for the hornet and harrier and other LGB carrying aircraft, where currently you can change the code?

Hi Harlikwin,

We would like to at a later point once we complete the aircraft and mission card option completed.

Thanks

Also will the JTAC be able to be commanded to change their laser code?

That's good to hear. Love the hard work that you guys do and how you guys try to get things as faithful to the real thing as much as possible.

That's great news! Having the magic ability to temper with the bomb code from within the cockpit doesn't really fit to EDs strive for authentic simulation!

I hope that change will also apply to the A-10C?

Looking forward to the next installment.

It seems like the module is quite far along, but then again I really know nothing about the development process. I feel like we're probably less than a month away from EA release, I know the videos you show that you are showing only areas that are stable and usable so there's way more to be done that we don't know about.

Also side note, anyone else very tempted to get VR just because of how awesome it must look and feel with this bubble canopy and detailed cockpit?

I've been using VR for a couple of years now and my advice is get one as soon as you can. All modules look and feel awesome in VR, it's a whole new ball game, a completely different perspective.

The F16 will for sure give a completely different feeling in VR to other modules due to its design, but I promise you once you have tried VR you will never look back....no pun intended :D

VR is not for everyone and there is minus as well as plus so ideally attempt to try before you buy.

Agreed.

I think VR is great personally. But it has upsides and downsides. And each specific headset has pluses and minuses.

Would you be able to briefly touch on the pluses and minuses for both DCS and headsets?

I don't want to hijack the thread.

I've never considered VR until now. I always thought I would get two more monitors with my TrackIR but it's probably the same price around $800 bucks.

If there is another recent forum with up to date info please let me know and I can check that out.

Thanks!
