Yes but at the end of the day it is still driver related somehow since I fly the 18 in VR with SA page on the AMPCD and the chaff/flare is always on yet I do not see my performance tank at all on an older driver.

Yes, no one is disputing that it is driver related. Still you will agree, that downgrading the driver can't be the solution.

Of course this can't be the solution. There are already several topics in the forum about this error, people are posting and looking for a solution. Only with ED they cannot see that someone confirmed this error, informed us that he was working on it. I don't fly F-18 until this problem is resolved because I just have a nervous disease.

Agree, this needs to be fixed at some point, we can't stay at 442 forever. It's likely something on Nvidia's side, but at least it'd be good for the devs to figure out what the issue is.

I noticed that the problem is chaff/flar progress bar. I changed the lua file of the SA page and removed the progress bar.

AMAZING fix!

The F18 is enjoyable again :)

Hopefully the devs will fix it within the next update. Can't be too hard to fix the root cause (as you found it already)

Thanks for the heads up, Bignewy, that really is enough for me and something I can look forward to :)

I am having the same issue with a progressive fps loss but not with any particular aircraft. I start out with good fps and then after about 20 minutes of flying around will have eventually dropped down into the low teens. I have the latest nVidia drivers installed (445.87).

Most definitely not a solution simply a work around just like removing the chaff/flare info on the SA page is a work around.

Yeah, I need the new drivers for other games, though. That said: it's dropping to 25 - 35 FPS for me, so that's playable anyway (even if I'd like to stay 100+). All I needed for the time being is a confirmation that they are indeed working on it, which has been given now :)

SA Page with CM disspence switch on FPS Drop

Not sure if this has already been posted or not.

At first I thought it was just the SA page in general that was causing FPS drop.

However it seems to be that the countermeasure dispense switch is what causes the lag when it displays on the SA page your CH and FL quantities.

This causes a huge FPS drop for me.

Running at 70-90FPS takes me down to 10-15FPS when on.

When off I run at normal.

Attached is the track file and the log file.

Also link to recording of FPS Drop.

FPS Drop occurs at 33 seconds after switching on CM switch

It's not the SA page its self that's the problem.

Its the countermeasure quantity display on it that causes the FPS drop.

If you turn your dispense switch off while the SA page is on you wont get a FPS drop.

So in simple terms, you can either have the SA page and no countermeasures, or have countermeasures and no SA page.
