I mean, why not, but have NZ ever taken part at any battles in any of the maps we have?

 

 

Once the Marianas Map appears, yes, the RNZAF undertook operations against Japanese forces in the Pacific.

Don’t see the relationship, but adding a country to the DCS database is a whole lot easier than developing a new Map, so let’s hope that ED grants this wish.

Don’t see the relationship, but adding a country to the DCS database is a whole lot easier than developing a new Map, so let’s hope that ED grants this wish.
Guess they're referring to the Aussies and Kiwis that participated in Nam, hence the missing map for NZ.

What I didn't see was what is the relationship between wishing for a Country to be on DCS's database, and wishing for a certain Map to be made.

As I said earlier was Toten wasn't sure if we had any map that included some place New Zealand fought and I recommended a theater where they did I could have just as easily recommended Italy in WWII

@BIGNEWY .. this has been on wishlist for over two years ... now we have the Marianas Map that is nearby New Zealand, can you please suggest to whoever decides these matters, to please add New Zealand to the Countries Database? .. I can't understand why we have Ghana and Nigeria but not New Zealand 🙄

Born in NZ and even though I have lived most of my life in Australia, I'm a die hard All Blacks supporter.

I support this, even if just to play the Op Jerico mission as a RNZAF 'character'. But one thing to remember is that any good Kiwi DCS players will just be 'claimed' as an Aussie by the Australians. Just like Phar Lap, Pavlova, Lamingtons, Russell Crowe... actually the Aussies can have Russell Crowe 😛

Probably because operations have been and are still being conducted in many parts of africa so it makes sense to have those factions available. RNZAF on the other hand do not operate any type of aerial assaults, and seem purely a logistical force, which operate very lightly overseas. Saying that, it shouldnt be too hard to add a flag and play pretend.

It is on the to do list but other priorities take precedence. It all depends on having a free artist, and dev available. Will need to continue to be patient as I have no ETA.

Ok, thanks for the answer anyway. There is a dcs user that has already done the art bits needed (see https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321135/ ) .. would it help if he were willing to contribute those to ED?
