Checking module manager and buy info... No joy.

Just noticed that one of purchase pages info you need open beta?

What?

Where it is? Checking World 2.5 - no link to open beta...

Doubt I got enough space for another world to be installed.

And I am scared stiff to f.. up DCS - now it is running flawless for a month, and it feels stable..

Final question:

When will it available for my installed world 2.5?

Thanks..

Remember the noise around Normandy. Also a pre release purchase.

When do we learn. Note to my self: Wait for X-mas sale...

Thank for you for free trial. I tested F-16 and should bought that one instead.

I be on the fence for beta. I will check progress.

I will fly the Tomcat from land for now....

Look...openbeta is free....

you don't have to pay for it :P

Why you don't download it and try the Supercarrier there?

Been around since Sublogic sim on CBM64.

Done my share of beta testing. Now I want plug and play.

Even on other simulators there are unexpected crash and bugs with addons on release. (And I do not blame publishers) That is why I wait a couple of months to purchase.

And I did expect some bugs in Supercarrier too, if too annoying, I could just deactivate it and continue flying until fixed.

Now it is too time consuming, activating aircraft again, setting up graphics, move over key binding , and the usual troubleshooting that goes along with it. Finally not sure if HD space permits. Other sim addons do fill up my HD too.

Anyway ... some day DCS will run an update, and Supercarrier can be activated..

the f-16 is also in open beta and is even less done than f18 and can't land on a carrier but it was at a great price at 50% off so I bought it as I don't think it will ever be less than that. I'll just set on it until its more complete.

Yes - I know it is beta. A quick install, and if not happy I could leave it. Not a big deal.

Supercarrier is a different time consuming beast. You have to install a completely new sim, along with new setup. I rather spend time in flying.

I was quite happy with F-16, but dropped it for Supercarrier.

Looks like a great module for my favorite Tomcat.

Oh...is THAT what the deal is?...gotta DL Open Beta all over again just to get the new carrier?....... I was wondering why it looks like it will take well over 24 hours to download the Super Carrier and a couple of other mods ordered.

I'm currently downloading the file onto my old PC which already had DCS Open Beta on it, just to see the carrier.

I don't fly the Open Beta on that PC anymore usually because my new PC has slightly better specs. I fly the Stable Version on it.

I may as well just cancel the download and forget about it.....just wait till they update the Stable Version. The download is so slow ...I ain't gonna wait another 12 or 15 hours with this crappy connection tonight. I got carriers I can land on already anyway.

What? Are you saying that the, DCS Updater GUI / Launcher Utility

is about 40 GB to download?

No, he says that there "is stuff" to download when "doing it", which is moving to OB. The updater itself is small.
