Mod rafale V1.0 available

Lets have a look to the new rafale mod.

The mod is in french.

- replace the SU33 with the rafale model,

- replace the rusian skin texture with the charles de gaulle french textures carrier,

- this mod is not compatible to the other mod like the Ada from barbs and hub, F15C from Walmis , A10 from Yeniceri,

If i work fine, i think that i can finish it for this night (french hour ^^)

but, before release, I need to give it to skippy for upload and modification of the web page :)

Maybe I will upload it on LockOnFiles, i don't know yet

First of all congratulations for one of the best mods ever!!

It looks like the Rafale is the perfect plane to mod in lock on with the Su-33. Landing gear reaches the ground, both planes has carrier capabilities and great maneuverability.

I love what you did with the ECM pod, itґs there you just can see it. Isn’t it? Is the first time that I see that the afterburners work perfectly in a mod!!

A few details can be improved to make it the perfect mod. Weapon list could be change to add a few bombs, rockets and missiles.

Are airbrake and flaps working correctly?

Damage model could be improved and finally the cockpit from the mirage 2000 ADA mod should be included in this mod. I know that the Rafale and the mirage 2000 have completely different cockpits but It will be a better match than the one from the Su-33.

- landing gear on ground ... if it was not ok we will regard the plane as being missed :P

- Afterburners at the right place :)

this is not the first time, Mirage F1 from AdA mod has his afterburner, only one, at the right place but it's a Mig29k replacement :P

- For ECM, it's the best compromise between real rafale (ECm in the aircraft), Su33 capability in LockOn and number of pylons :thumbup:

- Actually, Rafale is F1 standard (only Air-to-Air weapons)

F2/F3 standard versions will be available in the v2 solo rafale mod and/or AdA Mod v2

- Airbrake and flaps work as correctly as possible

In fact, the rafale does not have Airbrake and flaps like the Su33

Rafale is a delta plane, so no flaps (like the real mirage 2000)

look at the slats when press "F" ;)

and for Airbrake, this is a real difficult part, Airbrake is in fact a different move between "ducks" near cockpit and wings's mobile parts

 

For cockpit and damage model, and a lot of improvements, the rafale will be improved (I'm not the 3D creator, so no delay could be given, but it's in the todo list :D) for a v2 solo rafale mod

and the rafale will be incorporated in the AdA mod, but still without reskinned cockpit (very long job, and we already have a lot of work :D)

This needs to be put in a CAW mod or something so I can use it. I'd love a Rafale but I'm not giving up my Walmis Eagle for anything. Looks fantastic.

 

Incidentally, there's a stroy of a guy using the Rafale mod as an excuse to fire AIM-54 online. Hilarious.

Note that the AGM-65E and GBU- series can be used as well. Matter of fact most laser guided weapons can probably be added without any problem.
