Novokuznetsk, -30°C: "…we all scream for ice cream!"

Good Lordie.......at -20 I struggle to breath. Feels like my lungs are icing up and that lassie is eating ice-cream? Then again, the ice-cream is warmer than the environment and easier than coffee so I suppose it makes sense :megalol:

It seems losing wheels, having accidents with the authorities or shooting out the window are common occurrences in russia?

Seems more that the white lines on the ground are more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules (Arrr... :) )

But this (and many other videos) make me have some questions:

1) Why do so many russians have a videocam running while driving?

2) What happened to the guy at 4:07

3) Why is it so normal to encounter people at night in the middle of the road, the driver at 11:15 seems to be so used to it, he doesn't even say a word?

4) 11:49: Regarding question 1...how epic can it be to have front and rear cam in splitscreen?

5) What did the guy on 12:10 smoke and where can I get it?

6) Finally...why does all this stuff happen?

:D

Its an evidense in case of lawsuits. If some dumb fk jump under your wheels near crosswalk - you will never proof it wasn't your fault without some decent movie:D.

Petition:

We petition the Obama administration to:

Secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.

Those who sign here petition the United States government to secure funding and resources, and begin construction on a Death Star by 2016.

By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense.

Response by Paul Shawcross, Chief of the Science and Space Branch at the White House Office of Management and Budget:

This Isn't the Petition Response You're Looking For

By Paul Shawcross

The Administration shares your desire for job creation and a strong national defense, but a Death Star isn't on the horizon. Here are a few reasons:

  • The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We're working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.
  • The Administration does not support blowing up planets.
  • Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?

[...]

If you do pursue a career in a science, technology, engineering or math-related field, the Force will be with us! Remember, the Death Star's power to destroy a planet, or even a whole star system, is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
