colubridae Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 after I've created a mark point, how do i use it? please. :)
AvroLanc Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Unbox/Deselect your current SEQ. Use WP decrement arrows to scroll down through M9-1, to reach desired Markpoint.
colubridae Posted September 24, 2020 Author Posted September 24, 2020 Unbox/Deselect your current SEQ. Use WP decrement arrows to scroll down through M9-1, to reach desired Markpoint. thanks avro. perfect. :):):)
Drac Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we transfer the mark point to our wing mates electronically? I know you can verbally transfer it.
kengou Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we transfer the mark point to our wing mates electronically? I know you can verbally transfer it. Not at this time. Unsure if this will be possible in the future, but I have read that in real life windman ground target designations can transmit onto your SA page via datalink. Maybe they can be hooked/loaded that way, but I do not know. Thanks , but can you translate that into noob speak. I cant understand that . Just a bit too acronym / technical . :) hope you can help.
Swift. Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Thanks , but can you translate that into noob speak. I cant understand that . Just a bit too acronym / technical . :) hope you can help. Are we to assume you know how waypoints and waypoint sequences work in hornet? 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
silent one Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Are we to assume you know how waypoints and waypoint sequences work in hornet? Yes I know a bit :) Im not an expert.
Swift. Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Well they work almost exactly like any waypoint. In that you have to deselect the current sequence (SEQ1,SEQ2,SEQ3) before you can move to them. The same way you cant select a normal waypoint that isn't part of the sequence you currently have selected. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
silent one Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 So you scroll past all mission waypoints to get to markpoints?
Drac Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 So you scroll past all mission waypoints to get to markpoints? Go backwards from Waypoint 0. Then you get markpoints 9 thru 1.
Mule Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Just tried this myself. Works well. There must be a way in future updates to share mark points in your flight via datalink? Fighter Pilot Podcast.
AvroLanc Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Just tried this myself. Works well. There must be a way in future updates to share mark points in your flight via datalink? Yeah, this is an interesting one. Sorely needed but I’m not sure of the real capability. Link 16 obviously has the ability to share some kind of A2G information. The ‘Transmit Designation’ or TXDSG option on the SA page is used for this. But is this a one time transmission of a specific target or markpoint... or is it a continuous transmission of TGT rather like the SPI transmission in the A10? The first option offers more control and a more permanent way to store datalink received targets. I’m not sure the Hornet could share AG information pre-link 16. Unlike the F-16 for example that had its IDM for years prior to Link 16.
falcon_120 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 RECCE Mark point switch? Now that we have markpoints, shouldn't the RECCE mark hotas switch create a markpoint when pressed? Is it coming later?
DAGI Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Check RedKite´s tutorial Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
falcon_120 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Yeah I know how to create them through the MFDs. I want to know if doing it via Hotas was a thing in the real plane, more so given the name of the hotas switch...
DAGI Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 The RECCE is for maintenance in the real thing I think, and it toggles the JHMCS. It is not for making a mark point Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Weasel Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Redkite already made a Video about Markpoints:
DeathAngel1 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we mark more than 9 points? ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:..
Padonis Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 The marked "Markpoints" die after reloading their weapons at the airport. It shouldn't be like that?
Weasel Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we mark more than 9 points? No, max 9 mp
amalahama Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we upgrade markpoints to waypoints?
Habu_69 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Can we upgrade markpoints to waypoints? Markpoints ARE waypoints. I guess the pilot can record the coordinates, then create a new waypoint in the flight plan sequence. Unaware of any more convenient method.
